How does the game fit the theme?
It's a hostage situation, life is on the line and you can't make any mistakes, otherwise someone might die. (Also you could get a low grade if you're slow but that's kind of the cheaper interpretation)

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All the Art was done during the jam, the code was partly repurposed from previous games but majority was writen during the jam. SFX were from my own libraries and pixabay.

How many people worked on the game?

This is absolutely one of my favorite submissions so far. The variety of weapons, the complex mechanics, and the good level design make this really fun to play. The only thing is I got annoyed at the sheer number of times I threw my weapon away in an empty room and it killed a hostage. It happened so many times it almost made me stop  playing. Incredibly fun game though!

Really well made game very cool mechanics, I just love running into the room and going in guns blazing.

One thing I'd say is I wish there was a way to restore health a bit, maybe if you wacked an enemy with a chair or something, but thats just me.

Amazing submission!

The fact I can pick up a chair and wack enemies with it brings me so much joy. Great game!

Nice ! The principle of kicking down the door makes a really nice rush before the shooting ! The bindings were a bit confusing and it maybe lacks a mechanic to avoid enemy shots, but overall it's a nice experience !

The shooting and throwing mechanics feels great. Really had a lot of fun with this game. Can image myself whacking them with chairs whole day.

Very fun game! It's impressive you guys managed to make such a polish game in just a week!
Love the game feel, feels satisfying, especially the kicking door part.

The game reminds me a lot of Hotline Miami, and Anger Foot by Devolver, frantic, fast-paced, all around a good time!'

If I have one minor nit-pick, it would be, sometimes it can be a bit unclear on where the door is
Other than that, this is an excellent game! Great job!

This felt really great, had a lot of fun, killed too many hostages by mistake :| Had an issue with one room being fully black but only happened once. I liked the level layout too, with the enemies standing infront of the hostages, made you be careful. Really great job!

Pretty minor bug but that's a layering issue right here lol:

Other than that, really cool game, the ranking system is a nice addition to the game (even though i kinda suck at this game).

Ah yes the blank image, either way I know there was a lot of problems with layering throught making of this game, godot doesn't really make it easy to make isometric games especially outside tilemaps

Wait- ah yea itch somehow didn't upload the image.

I was mostly the artist for the entire game, Correctminer was just helping when I was busy doing other stuff.

Love the pixel art! Very nice controls too. Might be a bit hard at the start but overall great!

Glad you enjoyed

yooo this is the best game I've played yet, mechanics are great, idea fits the theme, I'm impressed! I've ran into some bugs, one time I went into a room and everything kept black but I could enter. It would be amazing if you could free the hostages and maybe gain health or smth. Great game, it's my favourite!
