This game is so entertaining. I'm playing it with my friends and we are completed all endings exept for the devil one: the timer is vety tight. It's all top tier, except for the theme wich we found a bit weak, but the game is really funny. We found a bug when we entered a door as we killed an npc: the other npc ran into this house, who followed her inside but we couldn't get out after that. That doesn't affect the game negatively, but I'm telling you this in case you wanted to fix it. Bel lavoro, sono ancora più soddisfatto vedendo che si tratta di un gioco italiano, buona fortuna!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game is specifically designed to be replayed many times because some events will take place only once, so the player has to rewind it (in a story-contextualized way) to see it from many different points of view
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and made the soundtrack, and used pre-made assets for the tileset and the sprites (more details in the credits)

Great games, I tried to get all the endings without the spoilers but didn't managed to complete 2 of them. I love the time pressure as well as the story mix , this was great.
I loved this game! I suddenly was hooked playing it, each time getting a new clue on how to save Elaine. I love the characters minding their own business and actually being important. It feels as if I was inside the game and the experience is kind of like in Groundhog Day, every time the same but a little closer to success.
Only thing is the chat toggle and the checkmarks at the end of the game ("baron killed" and "Elaine saved") which shoud have navigation turned off, as you can change these last ones by clicking on them and the chat toggle activates accidentally when playing and pressing space to interact with people.
Apart from that, again, I really enjoyed it and is definitely a great rating in my opinion. Well done! Would highly appreciate if you could check out my game and drop a rating too :)
I liked the game, the rewind aspect is well implemented, and adds a lot to replayablity. I like that some characters react to the player (like the girl who is scared of rats)
Great job :D
Yo’ Templar here,
Very fun game, retrying to try to get all the endings was really fun, the art style is too simplistic for the townsfolk, as everyone is unique and has their own role they should all look at least slightly different, the chat box and the dialogues are too intrusive tho.
I see what you mean about our games being similar. I like the idea of different characters and their own routines and needing the rewind to learn more about each routine and gather clues. A really excellent use of the theme and time.
I see there's a counter for kills but, I couldn't work out or find what was needed to kill. Only other criticisms would be the UI could of been smaller, and a mini-map would of been useful in helping the user find their way and plan their route. Nice work.
Daamn, this game is so cool. I had so much fun that I did all the endings. Really one of my favorite games of the jam, like, really, this is amazing. First I didn't know what to do, but then you slowly memorize the movements of the characters and the dialogs cleverly explain what to do, or what options you have. The first time I just managed to get the treasure, bought the key and went into the castle, but always the gate closed, and I thought, well, this stealth system kind of sucks (but it didn't, I'll talk about that later). Then, I got to the baron, but didn't want to kill him, and remembered someone told me he was afraid of mice, so I found the rat. After that, I wanted to save all the people - I sedated Elizabeth and saved Janith with the pills (I think that was her name), but didn't know who died else. Then I looked at the text box and it told me that Francis died. So I looked at what francis did, and saw that he ran right into the trap! So I bought the trap disabler, saved francis, and then I had no money to buy the keys, but I remembered that after saving francis, he ran right into the castle, and suddenly, the stealth system was disabled! I just though, whoaa, this is so clever.. That's why the stealth part was so hard!
The whole experience was a blast. The only thing that you could improve are the graphics and the UI (and some bugs with the UI), but, I mean, that didn't bother me. The game even saves your "progress" (the endings you collected), I like this too. Really great game!
You fill me with joy. I was afraid that the game would be too complex and not clear enough for people to understand all the interlacing of events that I planned, so seeing that you did and enjoyed it gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
Yeah I suck with ui, and I have to point out that the stealth part wasn't hard to motivate people to disable it, it's just that it looked easy to me since I'm the one who created it xD.
Thank you <3
What I liked
- The multiple endings give lots of replayability
- The short time frame has you play multiple times to figure out the best route
What can be improved
- The UI was too big and didn't quite fit with the rest of the games art style
- Same goes for the font
- In the beginning I got quite lost, because I didn't notice that there were multiple locations with houses. Maybe adding a map or bringing in more graphical variety could help combat that.
Bugs I found
- The Death tracker started me off at 2 for some reason
- The checkboxes in the ending screen could be toggled by hand
Overall, really solid game! The concept really reminded me of games like 30 second hero or Minit, where all your actions are on a strict timer. Good Job!
I completely forgot about those checkboxes. As for the rewinds counter, it considers every time the game started and not every time it ends, so maybe you launched the game and pressed esc? Since it worked for other people.
I won't excuse myself about the ui and font, that's my bad taste. Regarding the "being lost", the graphical variety is something I didn't think about at all, that's a very good advice.
Thank you for the feedback, I highly appreciate it
Excellent game. The different endings are a brilliant way to keep the player coming back to try a different route.
haha i died so fast at the first run :P could not resist walking on top of the trap :P
love the idea to be in a hurry in a game like this :D normally you would have all the time in the world, nice idea!
As promised, I played the game. So, although I couldn't call this kind of game my type, I gave it a go. Straight from the bat, I liked the idea behind rewinding/replaying the whole 2 minute game in order to figure out the best way to do stuff, the design behind it and the different endings show the author's effort. Graphics were ok, audio was really nice, gameplay was almost perfect, the only exceptions being the fact that it feels kind of "zoomed in" as in, you can't SEE much, and a minimap or something could be gold, but I definitely understand if you didn't have enough time in 7 days. Other than that, the guards felt kinda hard to pass mainly because they move fast, have 1000 vision and you can't see how many they are or where they are (but maybe that was the idea). With that being said I'm now a good samaritan. Great game! :)
Thank you for the feedback. The thing about the guards and the zoomed visual is that I underestimated an important aspect: the game is harder for the players than it looks to the developer, of course. Also I recently realized that some things should have been clearer, like the fact that Lonnie is a merchant (he moves away quickly and dies fast so probably few players could realize it).
I couldn't see very well because the chat box and toolbar was covering up half the screen. I did like Elaime's death though lol. Speed and controls were nice and music good.
This game is quite a pleasant experience! I loved the intro cut scene, the game overall has a lot of charm. The only negative I saw was the stealth section was a little tricky with the guards moving so fast, but I love the endings and the atmosphere of having villagers talking as you pass them. Obviously a lot of care went into making this game!
