In what way does your game fit the theme?
Time to Recolor fits the theme of REWIND because one of the major mechanics for solving puzzles in the game is to rewind time, allowing them to travel back to prior locations with new color abilities to pass obstacles. Rewinding is required for every section to acquire the right colors in the right areas. The game is formatted so the player consistently has to backtrack to prior locations - essentially rewinding their progression.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I wrote all the code for this project entirely by myself. All the visual elements were designed by me over the past week, as well as the animations and all other effects. The music and sounds for the game came from OpenGameArt.org and are properly credited within the project.

A nice idea, reminds me of a calm version of fury of furries (if anybody actually remembers that game!)
Really fun and creative game. Combining recolor and rewind mechanics has made some great puzzles. I loved the platforming too, it was pretty smooth but I had some small issues:
-As others mentioned the character is too slow, I was holding shift all the time. I don't know if it's intended or not but almost for all jumps I had to sprint because otherwise I just couldn't jump far enough.
-Some platforms were too close to the ceiling (for example the ones near the first red color change)
-The vertical platforms caused some jittering which can be easily fixed if you make the player become a child of that platform once they come in contact. (sorry if you already knew it but it was a problem I had too so I thought it could be helpful to you)
Great job overall!
Looks pretty cool and gives me chills. Music fits perfect. But i don't know what to do about the first wall which i am supposed to break. I don't know how
The game looks amazing and is fun to play, but the movement feels a bit slow, even while sprinting. But with the calm music this helps to make the game very relaxed. The rewinding looks and feels great and I like the trail that is left behind.
Thank you for the feedback! I agree about the movement, I'll definitely be tweaking that in the future. I'm glad you enjoyed playing!
nice game
Great job! The neon scheme on black background is beautiful. The player's movement is a little slow, but I understand this is a chill game, so that makes sense. It did take me quite a while to figure out the first key, but it's a puzzle game so thinking is part of it. One thing I noticed is that you can jump further by sprinting then jump. Perhaps that could be an addition to the tutorial area?
Wow, what a well polished game! I enjoyed that the rewind ability wasn't some odd mechanic added in or you had to fight against. Instead, it added to the experience of not having to go back through a section or seeing yourself go back to the beginning was satisfying. My one complaint is how slow the character moves left and right. Excellent first game for a game jam!
Fun game, i love the graphics and the sound design plus the meteoroid-vainia ish aspects really gave me a sense of progression. im impresed with the amount you got done during the jam ( :
I'm writing my thoughts while I play.
Thanks for playing! The movement is meant to be slower paced to enjoy the puzzle aspects of the game more and encourage the player to take their time. I can see how it would be annoying though, and in the future I'll be tweaking the movement like others have recommended. I decided to make the game into something that would stand on its own and be more than just a "jam game", so the game admittedly does take more time to complete. I really appreciate the feedback!
i love it that when rewinding you see your moment back, i would have 0 idea how to program this myself. and then the line of going back and the chancing colors effecting the lines. it looked simple but these details made it look great and a style on its own. But i was not sure why i would need a mouse. would make more scene to have to play with keyboard only instead of using the mouse. And i got stuck after the first key, still no idea where to go! but that can also be me and my horrible skills, think i will try again after reading the comments maybe i was not the only one ;)
This is a very fun game! Loved the particles and the use of colors are clever and intuitive. Great job in this game!
A color-themed metroidvania idea for a game came to me in dreams, and I wrote it down time ago. But you won't believe me 🤣
I liked the game, but I had problems after activating the first switch. I rewinded to get out and change color again, but nothing changed in the level and I couldn't reach the next segment after the walljump (I couldn't walljump to up).
Good work!
This was a fun game. The horizontal platforms gave me some trouble before, but it's easy to get used to them. I really liked the music, it fits very well with the whole aesthetic.
Really cool game! Really like the trails that the player leaves behind when he rewinds. I feel like the horizontal movement of the player is a bit too slow, so maybe speed that up a bit. Otherwise great game!
That's one of the best games I've played in the jam. No words at all for the art, amazing, perfect, colorful, minimalist, simple! Wonderful! Art is 10 out of 10. The rewind mechanic is really interesting because is not the main core of the gameplay but is there to make you solve puzzles, it's really satisfying to see the player returning every move he did! I would say the movement is kind of heavy, too slow, but is part of the game's identity I guess. The idea is really great and well executed, it's really funny to play. I didn't beat it the whole game, stopped after getting the second key, I played indie games the entire day so I'm a little bit tired haha but some other time I may open it again and finish it!
Hey man, really nice job on this game. I guess you could even release it somewhere(maybe steam if you have the money)
Thank you so much, it makes me really happy to hear such high praise on my game. And I appreciate the feedback about the player speed, the movement is definitely the element I want to tweak the most in the future. I really appreciate your review :)
Really a relaxing game you made ;) The rewind looks really nice, but for my taste it is bit fast. (rewinding too far back)
puzzles were great, music was calming and the aestethics was great. Controls were kinda slow and that bothered me until I first had to rewind and that was fast.
Wow it's so cool. Liked the graphics, the animations, the rewind system and the sounds!
Perfect game, Love the Graphics, art design, music and level design. The rewind mechanics are Excellent and works flawlessly
sorry but i can't even run your game T__T
Oh, I'm sorry it didn't run for you, a couple other people have had that issue and I'm not sure why. There is a WebGL port on the game's page if you're interested in trying it, if not that's okay too
