In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our game fits the theme in two ways: 1. We went with a retro GameBoy aesthetic to "rewind time." 2. Being a rhythm game, our core gameplay mechanic is to rewind through a track multiple times, allowing the player to try different instruments as the difficulty increases.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes 99% of the code was written by us during this jam. All art, music, and most sfx were also created by us during the jam from scratch.

That one was so much fun to play! The music was really good and the soundeffects were giving a nice immersion. It would have helped if there were different colors (or green values) for the 4 notes. Depending on which instrument you play, a graphic would have been nice. Also highlighting the pressed keys would be a cool feature for the future as well. That's a really really good entry! And now I'll go back and hittin the notes
I think having the graphic for each instrument is a good idea, lets the player know that they're in a new section. Thanks for the feedback!
This is one of the most polished games I've played so far. With a few more songs, it could totally pass for a full game. No one would suspect it was made from scratch in just a week! I hit 40115 on my first try thanks to how lenient the game is on the timing. Great game!
By the way.. the "funkiness" option in the settings.. does it do anything?
Glad you liked it! And no the funkiness does absolutely nothing, because the game is already set to max funkiness. It's just a joke we threw in for fun

Definitely the best game in this jam. Super fun, addicting, amazing work. I hope you will continue to develop this game and add more songs, co-op, multiplayer and many more features. My high score is 141420.
P.S. I found a glitch in the game that allows missing notes but still counting them in my streak.
P.S .S My record is 175040. Is this the highest you have seen?

The bug occurs only in the rewind phase when the tape is rewinding. If you press K while it happens it counts as good hit.

I LOVE THE AESTHETICS ON THIS GAME, the graphics are cool and the game play is really fun, the concept for the theme is well interpreted and makes for an interesting rhythm game, the color palette used is also pretty funky and pleasing to look at, definitely one that i'll keep playing again and again

That was a lot of fun! I really love the funkiness and great job on the music! Only criticism is that I don't know what the option for funkiness does.
Best score was 138,685 points with 4 misses and 10 bads, 14 goods and 438 perfects.

Really enjoyed this game, could definitely see it being really successful as a mobile game too, i thought the audio and design of it was really great and would love to see the game developed further

I absolutely love this game I'm a huge fan of 4 key rhythm games I got a score of 151180 I'd love to see a level editor for this after the jam if that'd be possible there's only a single thing that i'd change and that would be to add custom keybinds because df jk is a little to close on the keyboard for me I personally use qw and 89 on the Numpad

I love it, it was an amazing experience to play your game. I love the melody that your team made and how well the theme is putted into this game. The graphic was also amazing. If you will make more songs to this game with different difficulty lever, it would be even better. Well done :)

Absolutely loved it once I figured out what was going on. I would have like to get a little feedback with each note so I can know whether my timing was perfect, good, okay, bad etc, but not that big of a deal. I love rhythm and retro, so this was everything. Please make more levels!
