It's a complete racing game, you get to experience different tracks and a variety of cars, which is appreciated. The "podium" end screen was a special touch! Nice!👌
Would be great if sfx and music were added for more immersion. But it's understandable given the limited time, even I had a chunk of time just to implement and test car sfx on my game, had to sacrifice the diversity of car models on my end. So good work finishing your game with that ton of variation!

The controls feel a little bit weird but in such a small period of time they are good. The models were OK. Some audio would really help the game. There are some bugs too, but nothing to worry too much. Feel free to check out our game submission!

Nice game, I like the idea.. I think is the first car game that I saw in this JAM.  I miss the sound of the cars during play and also  when you turn on curves it doesn't slide  very well. Also some background music can give more atmosphere.

On the picture below I got stuck in a curve .. maybe in these cases you can show to the users "game over" or put the car back to the trace.

Good Job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

For some reason, it was very laggy when I opened it. I don't have a shitty laptop, so what I would suggest is to optimize it if it uses too much data. But I do like the graphics very much!

More audio would help this. As well as fixing some of the bugs. On the professional league I finished a lap and the lap counter didn't increase. The Mini map stop working shortly after that happened.

Good game!!! The controls felt quite good, the low poly design was very nice and the audio was really funny. In my opinion, some background music would do great as well as fixing some bugs (when you go very fast and you crash against a wall it gets stucked). Overall a very good entry. Keep working hard!!!

Is it your voice when the countdown is going down? I was kind of expecting a human voice for the car noises, too! As it stands it is a bit silent, though. More sounds would be appreciated! I'd love to hear a "vroom-vroom" when you pass other cars!

I liked how you interpreted the theme. It doesn't have any repercursions for the gameplay, but sometimes it's enough.

I do have some problems with the game, though. I feel that my car has MUCH less acceleration but MUCH higher top speed than your adversaries... It makes them feel less like your equals and rivals, and more like artificial obstacles. I would have their cars match ours more closely.

There are a few bugs, but this is a jam game, so it's no big deal. In the Rookie course there must be some sort of check that sometimes does not get triggered, as after a while in the race (in 1st place) I went all the way down to last place without any car passing me. I also went through the finish line and the next lap didn't begin. I had to restart a race that was apparently going really well! Also, it's a bit odd (and it doesn't feel very good) that if an adversary car touches you you immediately stop. It's understandable when you hit them from behind... but it feels really odd and unfair when they hit you from behind you and they keep their top speed

Overall, though, it's a pretty good game! Good job!

Did you make the audio for the start yourself? If so, that's freaking hilarious and I would love to hear this game voiced entirely by you. Would have loved to hear the brbrrbrbrbrbrb of the car.

That aside, I think there could have been a better way around the theme. Maybe having to reverse around the track or something would have worked better. Nevertheless, good art, good racing.

Could you please play and rate my game as well?

Nice implementation. Option to use game controller would be nice to have for future !

Nice game!

Things I liked:

>Controls: I actually felt you did a really good job, especially with the limited time you had, getting controls that felt like i couldn't just hold forward the whole time.

>Graphics (how did you make the cars?): I quite liked the low poly aesthetic, took me back to Daytona Racing ;)

Things to improve:

>Audio: Some background music would have been great and some revving/tire-screech sounds would be nice too;  I did love the starting beep sound effects though haha, they sounded a bit like mini farts haha I got a laugh out of them (even if that wasn't your intention, I think it was better having them than not).

>Theme: I thought 'rewinding through your career' was a bit of a cop-out, so I felt the game adherence to the theme was a bit weak; although I'm also glad that you didn't just add a rewind button to undo crashes, that would have made the game pretty bad in my opinion.

Overall quite an enjoyable and fun game!

Thanks, appreciate the feedback!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkg7Ol2jEjs did this blender car tutorial a while back  and used the same method.

I enjoyed this game!

Controls are a bit harsh and collisions need to be improved, but you made the game in one week, so that's understandable. maybe add controller support in the future, since it's better for racing games. The graphics look nice and the game is enjoyable. It lacks sound effects though, hope you'll update it after the jam. Also, the rewind of the career is an original idea. Good job

I was always awful playing racing games because I hate to use breaks. This game is in a next level cause I had to hold back to break haha. I think it would be cool if you had had some music and a rewind mechanic to stop a collision.

Wonderful racing game! Car is fun to drive and requires a little skill for the curves. I would recommend adding some form of background music or other audio as it would add a lot to the overall enjoyment. Great job overall!

Things I enjoyed, I think you had a really good racing feel! The actual drag of the car while turning was very heavy but that is the entire point of racing games, you have to balance speed with control and I honestly want to applaud you for not taking the easy way out with that. In addition I also want to say good job on not resorting to the "you can rewind time while racing gimmick". It technically would be the easiest one to do but it has been done obsessively in this jam (although I am not blaming anyone who does) as well as in forza.

Things I didn't like, despite the overall turning and momentum being pretty good the collisions in the game felt very wonky and one-sided. Any time you hit or get hit by another car you are thrown out of control while the other car just careens ahead. It should be a general rule of thumb to fall back on that whatever happens to "me" should have just as equally a chance to happen to "them", or at the very least appear equal. If your not going to do that (probably due to time constraints) then give the player a story to believe why it's one-sided, such as maybe the car they are entering with is the granddads old handmedown and its all they have and its very difficult to clash with as a result.

Overall though I think it's awesome you made a racing game! I hope you continue to make more and learn and build even better games in the future!

This is a good game, but the cars turn a bit slowly and it should be a bit easier to turn, but the graphics were nice. Nice game!

Good job for making all this stuff from zero! I would have more fun with your game if the general pyhsics of the car were less stiff. I can't find the right word to describe the movement of the car, but it's very hard to control! There is no way to make well done curves. I loved the sfx of the traffic light :D!

Cool game, i would recommend adding controller support though, racing games do play best on a controller
