Nice game! Player movement can become weird after walking against a wall, and also if you fall down you don't die, the cube just stays there and you have to load the game again.

But apart from those, the idea and graphics are really good and I enjoyed the game a lot. Good job and keep it up!

I would really appreciate if you could also check out my game and rate it :)

Nice rewind mechanic! Liked the game, - I also found the rewind cube to be a little buggy every now and then, where it wouldn't go all the way back, but generally really like the game! Check out my game too if you get a chance. Cheers!

Developer

I made the rewind cube to go back at a fixed time that is 5 seconds. So, at the end of the 5th second,  it might be that the cube may be upright with just the edge touching the ground. I have turned off the physics, so gravity is not much of a factor for the rewind cube.

Thanks for the feedback.

Graphics are cool, music is a bit loud but I didn't mind that. The mechanics seem a bit buggy and maybe its just me but they were hard to understand. Also, not sure why I am being forced to use arrow keys..

Developer(+1)

The physics are turned off and I've implemented my own physics. So that might be the reason for the buggy mechanics. I know the tutorial is nearly non existent XD. I did put a video on the sidebar of me playing it. But, since webgl didn't support videos, I had to take it out.

Thanks for the feedback.

Nice work! I like the graphics and the game has a good mechanic! I think I would prefer to increase the player movement just a bit but that's just me. Also, I found the rewind cube a bit buggy, where it wouldn't rewind all the way. (Or maybe I didn't do the puzzle right)

Anyway, nice job! The puzzles seem well executed and with a bit of polish, this could come out really well!

I plan to polish this once the jam is over. I've got a few ideas on what to implement too. :)

Great execution for this amazing game. It played very well and showcased great design regarding the utilization of mechanics. Though, it did get a bit repetitive.

Developer

Yeah.. I know the gameplay is not the best. But, I'll make sure to bring changes once the jam is over. I have a few ideas on increasing level difficulty.

Thanks for the feedback.

Played through your game in this video here at 01:09:50

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing the game. Hope you liked it

Edit: I have watched your video and thank you for the amazing feedback. The door opening without the use of the red cube is actually a bug. I didn't see it when I did my playthrough. I'll patch it up after the game jam.

Adding sound effects or UI for success and failure is a great advice. I haven't thought of it.

I know I should've just locked the Y position of the camera but before I could do that the Jam time ended :(

And the sign post and starting and ending was just a prop for aesthetic feel. XD

Hey man, very nice puzzle game, congrats ! I rate your game, take a look in mine. :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing. Sure I'll take a look at yours too. :)

It looks pretty good, lacking in sound effects. It would help if the camera could move. I like the concept, it's a pretty neat game.

Developer

Thank you for playing. I know the camera isn't the best thing the game has. I rushed it when making the game with a simple Lerp. I didn't have enough time as I joined the jam with 2days to spare.  I didn't want people to be annoyed with sounds in each button press, so I just put up a main theme in the game.

Thanks for the feedback.

I like the look and feel. Music is fun too and it's a cool mechanic. My feedback is if I could move the camera. That third or so puzzle I couldn't see the door and the buttons at the same time so always felt like "maybe" I solved it and had to move over to see the door and back but then I'm thinking "did I solve it and just reset it by accident".

Developer

I should have just reduced the size of the level I guess. Or maybe I'll add a free look camera. Thank you for pointing it out. I'll see what I can do to mitigate the issue.
Thanks for the feedback.

Really like the aesthetics and the look of the levels. Music is nice. The idea is unique and nicely executed, the only complaint that I have is that the camera is too shakey for a puzzle game.

Developer

Yeah, so many people has brought that issue to me. I was late in resolving it as the submission time ended. I'll fix it in a post jam version.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Sigma! This was a fun one, and I like the rolling puzzle cube concept. The environments looked good, and the level design seemed appropriate. The rolling cube behavior worked pretty well, but a couple times didn't line up quite with the switches which was troublesome. I also walked into a fence and it got buggy. But I was able to get through most of the early puzzles and one of the three-switch ones. The second three-switch puzzle didn't seem to trigger, even when my ghost went through each one. I think you have a strong foundation for something here, and I'd recommend putting the world on a grid, and mixing up the puzzles a bit. Your friend's music is sweet, good choice! Cool game, thanks for sharing!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed my game and I'll be sure to check your game out too. I know I probably had to put a grid like system in this game but I thought it would make this game a whole lot more easier than it is. Right now people need to guess where the cube moves and all. But with a grid, it will be more easier than it is now. As for puzzles, I had a few more ideas on developing the puzzles but sadly didn't have enough time.

Thank you for the feedback!

Great take on the theme.

Developer

Thanks. Hope you liked it.

I like this take on the puzzle cube game!  The camera angle is super cool and the use of the rewind cube is a great take on the theme!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Glad you liked it.

I really had fun playing this game! Good job!

The graphics are great and the idea is very nice :)
the movement of the cube was very jittery for me and for some reason spawning the rewind cube was bugged, like it spawn inside the red cube for a second, didnt move and the dissapeared so i didnt really understand what was going on :)

you should get some friends to play test to see in real time how a common person understands and plays the game

Good luck! :)

Developer

I don't know why the game seemed buggy for you. Maybe its because of the webgl version? Its my first time porting to webgl so I don't know much about it. As for a tutorial to make people understand the game, I originally added a video on the side bar when holding tab. But, since WebGL didn't support the video, I had to take it out.

Thank you for the feedback.

amazing game well done my issue is the heavy shake of the camera.

Developer

So many people has brought up the camera shake. I should have fixed it when I had the chance.

Thank you for the feedback.

Though really outstanding graphics, the camera movement is connected to the center of the cube, causing it to jitter alot. Next time use a follow script with an offset and delay/lerp. There are basically no puzzles. THe first way of solving is the way for all puzzles...so the fun gets out quickly. It has potential, but likely that would have been for a bit longer Jam.

Developer(+1)

I was late in joining the jam and only had 2 days to work on it.  For the camera, I did use a follow script but I should have locked the y axis movement. I forgot about that and only thought about it after the submission period ended. Its really frustrating how a lack of simple fix ruined the experience for a lot of people. I'll most likely add more levels and new way of puzzles after the jam has ended.

Thank you for the feedback.

nice game the rewind mechanic is really well made good job

Developer

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.

Really cool game. The rewind mechanic makes much fun and the movement in general felt really smooth. Overall a nice and funny game!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Looks very nice. Movement is quite wild though and i was able to just run over the doors (Maybe because 144hz monitor? You mention fixed time on your description so maybe too high framerate affects that)

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah.. Probably the refresh rates affects the gameplay. The most of my game mechanics follow with respect to time between frames. So higher frame rates does stuff like that i guess haha :)

Thanks for the feedback.
