In what way does your game fit the theme?
After the player dies, time rewinds and the player is put into a new location, but now the ghost of their past self is running around, on the path to inevitable death. The only way to stop them is to kill them first.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art were made during the jam. Music and sound were downloaded from online. ( Credit: https://www.zapsplat.com/ and http://dig.ccmixter.org/ )

it was pretty fun. this could be a full game if it was a bit more polished. Maybe have some sort of multiplayer where you try to kill your opponent's past versions or team up to try to kill past versions of yourself? Also, the music was pretty great.

Even though the game isn't extremely polished, it's an incredibly interesting idea to kill your past clones before they inevitably kill themselves with the spikes or before they get killed by another clone. In a way, it's the player who creates the obstacles, the enemies and the challenges in this game. Would be great to see this concept expanded upon in a full game.

This game is so different than most others, I really like the idea. The level seemed too closed in though, it was kinda hard to get around. Really fun :)

Pretty nice game demonstrating the concept of the game. Though i feel like besides spikes, you can add more deaths like falling off the world or having different types of weapons. And respawn points. You can randomly respawn into between 2 of your past self and nearly insta-killed.

That being said, the implementation of the idea is real neat and straightforward. I think this could do a fun multiplayer couch game, just a thought haha. Nice work!

This is actually a very creative interation of the rewind theme - both inventive and fun! With very simple mechanics and one unique iteration on your design, you were able to create potentially hours of content with just simple implementation of your mechanics!

I think something very admirable with what you've done is you essentially made a game that is defined by this mechanic (and consequently, very thematically relevant) instead of just having mechanics that support the theme.

Very fun and inventive!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words :D

i like that the difficulty is based around what you do , cool and simple game ,good job man :)

Excellent game with a simple and original idea, different from other games. One thing I liked is the difficulty curve dictated by the player's playing style. Great job, very fun!

Developer

I'm gonna act like that was intentional xD

This is probably one of funnest game personally, this was the first game I wanted to try and beat my own highscore in! I really love the idea here and wish there was more! I got a score of 7200! Keep up the great work!

Developer(+1)

D: my highscore was 1800 lol

Thanks for the positive review though (even if you demolished my high score...)

Wow amazing and fun game... Really fun when all those me's where on the scene.
Great implementation of idea,

Developer

Yeah, just having a butt-load of yourself on the screen is probably the most fun part of this game imo. During development, I created a script that would spawn a new ghost every 15 seconds.... and then played for like 10 minutes and had the time of my life xD

Lot of fun and varied game play with simple rules. Great game design. Controls feel great too.

Took a second to before I realized I should listen to the games name

Nice game! I liked the way you used the theme, it's a pretty original one and it can be really fun trying to make an strategy involving the position of a lot of past selves and trying to avoid them to kill me. Neat experience, good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the idea was originally going to be a puzzle game where past versions of yourself would attack you, but we figured that this idea would be a much cooler game if we made it a puzzle game in disguise!

Thanks for the review :D

Lol music wasn't ours. But aside from that, thanks for the positive review :D

Very original concept!

Developer

That was the plan :D

This is actually a really fun game! Seriously, I've rated over 20 games so far and this is the most fun one I've played yet! It is a really interesting take on the theme! One negative I have is that it sometimes takes me a while to find where my current player is because it doesn't really stand out that much compared to the ghosts, but overall, really fun!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the positive review!! And, yeah, we're working out how to make the position of the player much more obvious...

Submitted

I would just make the current player a different colour that contrasts with the background and the ghosts, but it's ofcourse up to you

Submitted(+1)

Loved the game :) very interesting idea... One tip: the spikes were a bit out of place with the artstyle, maybe use a specific killing colored pixel?

Developer

Will absolutely consider this! Thanks for the feedback!

I took some minutes to understand how to play and win in this game. And it's when I understood the gameplay that I finally understood the game's title... The concept is really good and crazy. It remains some crashs sometimes but the game is really nice.

Developer (2 edits)

We are fully aware of the crashes. The worst part is, we can't replicate it. Everyone we've asked has had it crash once, didn't look at the crash message, and couldn't replicate it to try again. We will definitely be fixing this bug... when we can finally get a look at the crash message xD

Edit: Just saw your DM. You're an actual legend!

I like the idea. Was fun to play. Also there should be a way to go fullscreen.

Developer

Will absolutely be adding a way to go fullscreen. Considering transferring the project to unity to access certain features that would definitely improve the quality of the game (like easy fullscreen capability)

The game had an interesting concept although it was sort of confusing as first. The art was good and so was the music.

Developer

lol music wasn't us. It was royalty-free and we added it to the game with 10 minutes left on the clock. credit is on this page.

Aside from that, thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

It was a very unique aspect to a puzzle game. Gain as many points/lives as you can to keep going by killing your ghosts before they die by your past selves or by suicide.

Developer

The code was about as confusing as the concept lol

Submitted(+1)

Oh wow, surely some original idea here, good job :D
I was confused seeing the thumbnail at first but the game literally requires you to do so... many times! ;) nice one!

Developer(+1)

Just a disclaimer. Please  do not repeat any of the stunts witnessed while experiencing this game. Killing yourself will not send you back in time. lmao

I wish I read this before I spawned another copy of me ;)
