I really enjoyed it, liked the slow-paced, the vibe and the sound effects. Good job!

Very well done, I love the color pallette you choose for this one.

It was a challenging to say the least  :D

Really polished, well done!

Good visuals and use of sound, which seems to be lacking in game jams usually. I'm not a fan of basic run and jump platformers, but I can appreciate the aesthetic touch of things like the depth of the background, etc. Well done!

Super aesthetics and atmosphere! The jump challenges was good, but I feel it need to explain the coyote jump mechanic in someway, I stucked on first a level for while until I discovered it. And maybe some extra checkpoints, specially in the gear-chasing-ascension, (good scene! but difficult).
Congrats, very good entry!

Developer

okay i tried it out for another 20mins and got a lot further! i died so much on the first area because i didnt know you can fall and still jump. maybe that could be showed in a safe area before making it a death situation? i got to the part with the cogs moving upwards. there i have racked up another 100 deaths and have to stop :D

Developer

hahaha yeah i just wanted you to play again to die an other 100 times bro 😜👍 thank you for that

Your feedback is to play your game? haha

This is a very good game.

The atmosphere you create with the visuals and sound is amazing. The gameplay is fun but it took me a while to realize that you can jump after falling from a platform.

The checkpoints are great and i love the change of music in the "tower climb" level.

Very well done!

Thank you for the kind feedback and also playing until the end! ^^

Oof! The cutscene at the beginning had me shooked, I love how cinematic It looked, plus the thunders and lightning effects! You perfectly built an intriging and misterious narrative with that simple cut scene!

As for the gameplay, I agree with some of the comments here about the speed of the player, however, I totally understand the point of it, I wouldn't change the default speed, what I would do instead is place the first boost robot near the beggining, so the user can easily understand what the game is about!

For the art style, the background is nice! Maybe add a little more 'depth' effect, it can be solved making it a bit blurry for example! or making it darker so that it seems that it is behind the player and not in the same 'layer'.

The color palette is gorgeous! Purple, blue and dark red make the great  mix for a misterious/nostalgic scene, well done!

I can see a lot of talent here, so congrats for such a cool project :D

Developer

Thank you kindly for the thorough feedback! It is a very valid point to place the first upgrade earlier, as the part before it is quite tricky and a lot of people quit there as we all have limited time to try test and rate the other games haha
