Honestly I work of art! I would recommed the powerups being a bit more drastic after a few recruites!
This game is great, I had lots of fun. The movement physics need a bit of tweaking, I got stuck on things a couple of times. I loved the intro. The mix of 2D sprites and 3D environments is really well done.
I really like the artstyle and I feel old tho cause it reminds me of the vibe of my childhood XD
Jaw dropping intro! It reminded of the Humungous Entertainment games I played as a kid.
I try not to nitpick mechanics too much for jams, but the levels were very tightly designed to push them to their breaking points:
- Coyote time and squish time on the slam to more reliably catch the momentum
- Indication of how many jumps you can do (finding that you didn't have your double jump at the peak of your leap is heartbreaking)
- I loved the bug of slamming onto an edge and the monkey freezing with a perfect expression tho ^-^
BRAVO! This is one of my favorite submissions so far. There is so many submissions that a lot of gems are getting lost like this one! Love the fact that you were able to get an intro going, love the pixel artwork, animations, title screen, music, even the simple pause screen. Great polish here! Well suited to the theme.
The only issue I did have was collecting some bananas. I figured after you collect a team member you can jump higher. So if there was one that was hard for me to collect, I waited till I had the max count and went back to it. Unfortunately was still unable to reach, trying double jump in place or running jump. Though overall great work!

With the bananas, their current purpose is to add replay value as we didn't get enough time to implement a function for them. And the reason some may seem too high to get to is because of an action called the "ground pound jump". Straight after you perform a ground pound, jump and you will perform a jump a lot higher than normal. We understand that this move isn't very obvious in the game, which is unfortunate. :( But after the jam, we will keep updating the game to make it the best it can be!

Really fun game! The graphics were awesome and also the cutscene was very funny . I loved the gameplay and the animations. Also I found the crouch animation very funny when you have more monkeys :). This game is really good and the theme is implemented very well. This is a 5/5 . Good job and I would appreciate if you also rate my game :D
Very cool game! I love the idea of controlling an army of monkeys. I was sad when my 9 monkeys disappeared at level 4 or so :D I wanted to get a huge army.
The purpose of the bananas wasn't very clear though.

We're glad you liked it! We also wanted to make a huge monkey army, but sadly it affected the performance of the game, so we had to sacrifice many monkeys for good performance. About the bananas, we didn't get to add what we wanted, so so far they are just collectables to 100% the game, but we will try to give them a purpose if we continue the development of it. All four of us would love to play your game and thanks for playing ours!
Nice entry! The graphics are great, they kinda remind me of old flash games. (especially the intro). The music is really nice as well. I've found some issues however. This is probably a glitch, but if you ground-pound on some of the objects the player starts hovering and is unable to move. When there are more monkeys, it also becomes a little hard to see the player.
