In what way does your game fit the theme?
As a two ship shooter, the ships must synchronize their movements to increase their power. The game can be played as one player or two players for extra fun.Together, the ships become stronger and able to help each other.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, everything from art, codes, design, idea, conception. I only needed help with the music and sound effects, two friends of mine were happy to compose those in the last minute and give me clearence to use them.

I tried to do a good rundown of a review in my video here:

very cool idea for a game, the art is very good but my only problem with it is that it is very hard to know whats going on, and to know where the player is aswell especially when you need to focus on two at a time if you are by yourself.

 awsome game!

I really like this ! The simple twist on the scrolling shooter genre is really effective in this case and makes a fun game ! I don't have someone to try it with me at the moment but i can already tell it must be really fun to play this with someone and break a friendship over non-coordination.
The art is nice but the only problem for me is that the enemy and the player have the same color palettes. It doesn't make them pop as much as they could i think. A good thing to correct that would be an outline or just a really slight hue variation so we can still understand that they're both of the same "color" but not on the same team.
The other detail that could be corrected is the font on the game over screen which is "smooth" when it could be the same 8bit font that you have on the main screen.

I'm being picky but overall this game is really cool ! Well done !

Thank you for the feedback. I'm a beginner in this whole art thing. So I really appreciate your tips. Thank you very much.

Really interesting mechanic, but very hard to actually play (on your own). With 2 players it is really fun! Some of the enemies are really tanky, and take what feels like ages to take down. The shadow on each part of the screen is a really helpful addition.

Hi!
Great idea to work together to shot faster and get more bullets, altgouht it's a bit too hard? Maybe I'm bad at this game :D
Anyway, nice job!

Really nice game! It was a good challenge trying to control both ship myself XD

A very nice game! Interesting mechanics - matching the “reflected” ghost of the other ship is a little tricky but fun. Would be cool to have more varied enemies, though. Great job!

Thank you for the feedback. Yeah, I wanted to make more enemies and waves. In fact there were some enemies who didn't make it to the final version. Hopefully I can get a version 2.0 with all the proposed features.

Incredible! So far, a lot of games don't have "synergy" my game included (we wanted to but it was out of scope) so at first I thought, "oh another play together game but really I could play each side separately" so when I died I was like.. meh it was too hard to kill the big ships... Then I tried again and realized (why does he give me the shadow ship? Can it shoot? Can they swap positions?) So I tried lining them up and then BAM Power shots.

You really captured the stronger together in the way you did your game imo. Even if you can play this together with a friend the synnergy really sells the them! Aces!

Oh also I like the music and sfx choices, but I am impressed with Innovation and game design :)
Oh also I like the artistic choice of red blue and purple for color schemes!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it. Your comments made my day :D

This is what a call a great idea!!! love how you use the theme and love the game, cause is really fun. Think the guitar have too much gain and maybe you can use a lot less and double or triple tracks with hard pan, in the fast riff you loose definition because that, but is only my point of view.

Great game! Keep on jamming in a free world!!

Loved the music and parallax effect on the background. It's a tough game for one player, too much to keep track of, probably more fun with two players. Nice job.

Holy this game is hard with one person. I really like the graphics and the game is extremely polished. great job.

Nice game! The ship and background graphics are really good! I like the almost watercolor feel to them! Although I feel like the background is a little too busy and it gets hard to see what's happening. Also I'm not too clear on what it means by them getting  stronger by synchronising their attacks, I never noticed any difference

Developer

Thank you, maybe I should blur the background more? Or just slow it down so it doesn't steal focus. Sorry for the confusion, the idea of the synchronizing is that the ships have a shadow on the opposite side. This makes them fire faster, and in purple whenever they touch the other's shadow., which hits both kids of enemies. I'll make it clearer on the description.

I think to make the background grab less attention you should tone down the contrast between background elements, it's fine to have detail but the colors were just contrasting too much and making me pay attention to them

The music kicks ass! Love the concept as well. Takes a little time to get used to but once I had it down, I actually found the game a little too easy. The enemy patterns repeat a lot and in a lot of spots their bullets will never hit so you can just stand in place and do nothing. I think mixing up the patterns and not having them mirror on both sides as much would help and put more of an emphasis on moving in and out of sync.

Also, I think the timer isn't working properly. I had it jump from like 4:59 to 4:00, 5:59 to 5:00 etc. repeatedly.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback. Yeah, I actually had the code for creating entirely random waves, but I forgot to add it T . T (I literally forgot one single line of code to add it properly). The difficulty is supposed to increase for each wave, but maybe it's a little slow. I found that people who tested it for the first time found it too difficult. Meanwhile, people testing for the second or third time found it too easy, so it was hard to balance it out. Maybe version 2.0 gets to be more balanced. :D

I love the idea so far I think it's one of the most theme-fitting games this jam

3 minutes in solo . Were the enemies harder I wouldnt last 10 seconds. Its quite mind bendig :-) Nice shooter and overall concept.

You have a very cool game!  Maybe work a little on the graphics and i didn't understood how they help each other, or why there is a shadow of the other spaceship.

Also, don't forget to play and rate my game!

Good job. I  just find controlling both at the same time is a tad to hard for me
