20th rate!

Nice concept for TD games. Sadly I failed on last wave, but it was fun nonetheless. Wish I could see cooldown UI for the freeze mechanic, as the cooldown was a bit long for me. Overall great job!

Love the idea and the mechanics. Very cool take on the tower defense game.

The death punishment and CD feel a little bit harsh and make the game a lot harder especially in the early game.

Also waves came in after each other so I did not really have a chance to read the text at the top when it changed.

If you have a chance please provide feedback on my game.

I originally thought it was a TD game, but it seems as if it isn't meant to be?  It's a bit confusing, though I did enjoy trying to strategize about where to hold blocks and enemies etc..  A bit more supplied information would be helpful though in trying to understand the best strategies and the different pros and cons of specific layouts.  A few fine points:

  • There's not much feedback on hits.  There's a bit when the player dies and a bit when they freeze an enemy, but otherwise there's no visual indicator or movement from the player or the enemies to show they have been damaged.  At least that's noticeable.  So adding something like that would definitely help get across that you have been hit.
  • I feel like the game would benefit from leaning more into the TD game style it somewhat emulates.  Possibly by letting you place down "blocks" that you grab to allow some more strategy of attempting to defend yourself, while also being able to stop the onslaught.
  • The players attack cooldown was pretty long.  So maybe either shortening it, increasing the usefulness or possibly just adding a timer that's displayed.  Because currently there's no information on when it recharges which leads to a very frequent situation of staring at a black cube hoping it will recharge.
  • Some sort wave counter or warning would help.  There's a slight one, though it's in the top left and most people aren't reading that due to it's far location from the gameplay.  So maybe some sort of off screen image or popup from the edge to allow you to hover over it and show the enemies etc.

Cool idea. But it do feels less strategic than the classic tower defence games. And if you consider this as a bullet hell, the hit box is way too big and the long CD of player shooting isn't that satisfying.

Still a really fun game to play though and it seems well polished, good job.

Fun game, good job! Very original idea with lots of potential to be expanded upon like certain parts next to each other gaining additional bonuses.

I really like the pixel art and overall presentation.

On my first try I died at the end of the last wave so I suppose it isn't that hard, but I think it would be better if our hitbox would be just the middle part and taking damage would destroy the parts either way. Now you can't reliably dodge the bullets when your hitbox is so big.

Hey! Stickyman was an interesting take on the tower defense genre and I enjoyed the concept of infected machinery trying to mess you up! I'm super impressed with what you got done by yourself in 7 days! I must admit, a lack of tutorial made it a bit confusing on how to play and I'm not sure if it was just me but a lot of the enemies had quite a bit of health for the first few levels. Overall, well done!

Impressive mechanics, and really great art design!  Would have been able to enjoy my playthrough a little more had I been given a more robust tutorial!  Nevertheless really impressive stuff, i think it's a game worth developing post-jam!

Good tower defense idea, I just lately released that there were different messages on the UI. I was never able to win, but it was fun.

Please feel free to check my game

I enjoyed the game and its ideas seemed fun to me. But to me, the music and the art style called for a more horror theme than something like funny burgers shooting at me. The game is incredibly good to kill time I think and of course, the idea of defending with many things stuck together is a great concept.

Cool concept!

I couldn't get past level 7 in my four times playing, but it still was a good experience.

I would add an indication to where I'm aiming because I kept shooting a bit to the side and missing.
Now that I think about it, the punishment for missing is really high. Maybe tweeking the cooldown when you shoot static object vs shooting the (also static object but also..) enemies will make it less punishing when you miss your target.

Overall I really liked the idea, thank you!

The biggest issue of the game right now is definitely the game balance and I'll fix that after the rating period. I as a developer think the difficulty is moderate (a little bit challenging, but still beatable) but I didn't find any playtesters before submission, and that's what I messed up. Anyway, I'm learnt a lot

I don't download games during a jam... okay downloaded yours :P I gues it was worth.

Just kidding it was :P. Nice Towerdefence with some extra twerks.

We actually had the same basic Idea ;-) just a different approch. Great Game!

Haha..... I don't usually download game jam game but I'll add to my collection instead. Somehow Unity WebGL decided to stop working and my game doesn't work on web excluding music (not sure why, maybe using LWRP for post-processing is the reason causing the camera stops rendering image).

Daaaang, you're really gonna make me download the game???? Jk, I'm glad I did because this game is a hidden gem! The combination of a tower defense and a bullet hell game is really smart, and I liked how you could collect different enemies that had different benefits! I especially liked how you could use objects as meat shields.

Since this is a game I really like, I'm going to nit pick it a lot since I feel like it has a lot of potential! Don't take it as me not liking your game, I wouldn't do this if I didn't have any faith in it! Here goes:

- The tutorial is hard to pick up when it is in the corner of the screen in a small textbox

- It sometimes felt like the things I stuck to were being assigned to random spots on my body, I wish that I had more control over where they were placed on my body

- I wish there was a restart button, because I screwed everything up on my first run due to the aforementioned barebones tutorial, and I just had to wait a long time til I lost enough lives to restart, even though I was killing barely any enemies each wave and was screwed anyway

Overall great game, one of my favorites for sure due to how creative it is!

Great thanks, this is the first comment to my game! This is the first time I did a game jam solo (My previous game jams at least got 1 level designer) and I'm really glad that somebody can point out the drawbacks of the game. The biggest issue of the game right now is definitely the game balance and I'll fix that after the rating period. (Also I'll add back the pause & restart button)

Nice, welcome to the game jam community! Glad I could be your first comment, I've been looking through Least Rated trying to find diamonds in the rough like your game, happy I could find at least one!
