In what way does your game fit the theme?
In this game your character throws potions that have random effects like duplicating an enemy or making it bigger and as the level progresses your character gets scared and throws potions more frequently so the level becomes very chaotic.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes all the code was made by us, and all the assets were made from scratch, the only piece of art that we didn't make was the main menu music, that came from a bundle we bought.

Welp, once potions start hitting knights, things certainly get chaotic. Once you're at full panic (which you mostly are on the first run after reading text at least), it's hard to see how you can do much, since the daggers only reach as far as the potions. Cool idea, and nice graphics.

A really great game! I had a ton of fun trying to beat it (which I did eventually) and had a blast in the process. I think you nailed the theme pretty well, I did get a vibe of some chaos from the potions tossing, but I wish there could be more to it. Regardless, I think this is a fantastic game for a short jam :)

Developer

Thank you for you kind comment :D so glad you liked it <3

A wonderful submission! It fits the theme perfectly, it's fun to play, and the idea as a whole is interesting! The main improvements I could think of are pretty nitpicky and could be overlooked for a game jam but just in case you're interested here they are:

The tutorial was great but once I finished I had already reached max panic and was immediately killed during my first encounter with a knight. Maybe the meter could be handled specially during the tutorial and then reset once out of it. Also, it would be nice if after the first run the tutorial section was skipped over.

That's basically it, great job!

is a great game if add some history maybe it can be even better game like the classic: "princess in danger i have to help her" or something like that...

Developer

Thanks for the advice, we'll for sure keep it in mind <3

This is an interesting concept. I wonder how far you could take an idea that relies on randomness/chaos because the randomness can feel unfair/not fun. I think with careful balancing this could be pretty awesome. Maybe you can ditch the knives and make the entire thing centered around potions and actually level up your potion crafting skills and have some weird alchemy/action game where you make potions to use as weapons but sometimes there are additional chaotic effects. Cos alchemy is awesome in general :D

Thanks for taking the time to write this, we are planning to keep on working on this idea, so every advice helps us a lot, your idea is very interesting and for sure something we will keep in mind :D

Really cool game! The jumps are shorter than I would've liked, but that's a personal thing. Everything else is really good tho. I really like the throwing potions mechanics. Well done!
