"Space to throw furniture" is probably my favorite game mechanic yet. Absolutely love the art style and concept of this, well done!

This is a hilarious spoof. The pixel art is so so good! Love your take on this theme, nice work!

Wow really against the curve take on theme. Audio was quiet, but when I turned it up it sounded really, really pro.  Like I almost don't believe it cause your strings and woodwinds sounded live performed. Great work :)

thanks for playing! Colyde crushed it with the music. I wish I had made the volume a little louder. I was trying to avoid blowing out people's eardrums when they boot up the game (like I did with the prototype) but i went too hard in the other direction.

I can just say, that this was very magnificent and amazing.

As a proud Slytherin, I approve of this game.

I kicked the kid with the table hahaha!
Anyway, very polished and pixel art was gorgeous! Love this entry! great work!

First I thought I have to play the little kid - nice surprise :D

This game is amazing! I love the art style so much. The music and sfx are great as well. Throwing the furniture around was fun.

Is this a Harry Potter reference? hahahahaha Looks like it is payback time and stop the letters lol. Good job on the game! I would suggest a score board so that I can spend even more time trying to beat my old scores hahahaha.

Nice and simple, would have liked a timer or a letter counter to show me how well I did.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, it's definitely too subtle, but the clock in the top left corner rotates once over the level, showing you how far you are to the end.

Pixel art was gorgeous and I like the game a lot, well done :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you~! I liked yours as well ^-^

It's a fun short game, I really enjoyed it :) Love the art and had fun knocking the kid out, his reaction is great:D

Developer

Oh thank you~ that means so much because your game's art is straight up STUNNING.

Such a fun game, i loved it

I laughed my head off all the way through it!! The reactions on the kid's face, the fact that he looks like a toddler going after a cookie when he sees a letter, and the losing messages just sells it for me!! I would give this game a fine recommendation and I will choose this game to be featured on my Youtube as well.

Developer(+1)

that is so kind! Thank you~ Please send me a link to your youtube channel so I can check it out when you do :D

I remember playing this while in development! The game looks so nice with the finished artwork! Actually... I just realized what this game is really about with the character designs and story. Really imaginative stuff, gotta say!

Developer(+1)

Thank you :D and thanks so much for play testing! The feedback I got during those prototyping phases really helped me make the best game I could. I appreciate it!

Nice domestic abuse simulator XD. Loved the assets and music, however the text font from the intro doesn't quite match the pixel art game.

Developer

thanks for playing! Yeah, it didn't used to be so violent. The original game just had taking letters and seeing Perry get sad, which I thought was hilarious. Then play testers recommended adding some obstacles, like furniture, and once that was in, it was only logical to add kicking the furniture, and if the furniture hits Perry, it's only logical he should be stunned... And that's how this became child abuse simulator XD

The best parody game of Parry Hotter ever existed.

Really fun! I thought the pixel art looked awesome; it's probably my favorite looking game so far! I thought the application of the theme was quite funny; you somehow made a throwing furniture at a child fun and applicable to the jam. There's very little to nitpick, but if I could choose one thing to improve, it would be the audio. The music sounds pleasant, but it was often hard to hear. Also, I think it would be nice if there were more than one sound that occurred when the letters dropped, but that's just a suggestion. This was a very charming, concise, and fun game that I thoroughly enjoyed. Way to go!

Developer

Thank you so much! And yes it's a shame the sound came out too quiet, because Colyde did such an incredible job with the music. I'll definitely put out a louder version post-jam. I had headphones on while building the game, so I think that threw off the balance and it sounded louder to me than it would coming out of speakers.

Wow what an utterly amazing game! I loved your take here and this didn’t even feel like a jam game. Such mastery. Great job!

Developer

Thanks so much! I just checked out your game and it is great! I love eavesdropping on the humans XD

you ever want to be Vernon Dursley keeping the letter from Harry, well here is your chance. I like knocking him over that was a nice touch.
