A short but solid game with some interesting challenges. Really like the slimes and how they pushed the player towards the next room.

Submitted

I liked the fake slime that was going quicker than the others

I had a lot of fun with the game. Kinda short, but I think it was great. Good job :)

nice game can you rate my game too ??

cool game bro. do you mind rate my game too thanks!

I really liked the graphics. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to kill the slimes or just try to outrun them - it seemed like running was a lot easier, but then the knife-shooting mechanic didn't really make any sense, and having both WASD and arrow controls was a little challenging. But still very impressive to put together in a week!

Great game. A little bit short, but it's a  game jam.  Very well-polished. I loved it!

5/5.

I got the coin on one of my first screens and I was pretty confused at first.

I'm glad I replayed it a few times, I almost missed the moving play button, the fake slimes, the fake chests, and the procedural levels. Lot of impressive parts here that didn't draw attention to themselves. Nice job.

I liked the grafics, but i didnt realy find the theme relation unless these unreal enemys and empty chests

Cool game! I really liked the artstyle and the metaphor you put into the game!

Thanks!!

Nice game,

the movement is a bit slippery and the game is a bit short.

I played through the game twice and some rooms were different, aren't you using all the levels in the game, like picking levels from a list as a rogue like?

If so, I don't think that's a good idea, knowing that you will probably play through the game once.

Also, good pixel art, the slime explosion was smooooooth.

Developer(+1)

The movement is modeled after The Binding of Isaac (much like the dungeon generation and attack style), it's not snappy because the momentum from moving does make an impact. Unfortunately not everyone is going to like that style of movement, but it was a stylistic decision and actually feels pretty satisfying if you are used to it.

As for the level, we only have a single level but it is randomly generated every time you play the game so while the experience is pretty short and there's not a whole lot of variety in it, the dungeon will at least be different every time you enter giving it at least a little bit of replay value. I admit it wasn't the greatest idea for a jam where everyone only plays each game once, but it was a super fun challenge to put that together and get it working as well as I had in such a short period of time

The graphics where pretty good, although I just kind walked around found the thing and the game was over, maybe more goals or multiple levels would help

A fun game. But I died before I finished because one spike was fake, another wasnt.. But that does not change the fact that the art style is just super amazing and its just so fun walking around. Its very nice! Keep it up and good job! :D

Very nice. I can run around while 10+ slimes chase me as I look for the key xD

حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل

yep! a binding of isac feel! I love games that have simple mechanics and simple goals so this was a very sweet game! :) I hope you guys make some more like this! very similar theme to my bird game lol

Submitted(+1)

Really loved the game ! it is quite innovative and interesting and i liked the resemblance with binding of isaac, but if i have to point out one thing, it would be nice if there was some sort of cooldown from shooting the swords to make the game a bit more challenging to go through, but anyways excellent game ! Incredible job :D

The art is amazing, I loved the little animation when the slimes explode :D

The only thing I would change is like others have mentioned already, there's nothing stopping you from just running through rooms without fighting.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad that you like the art. ^-^

Love the game, love Binding of Isaac theme. Only thing I would change is to prevent the player from just avoiding the enemies and passing through each room, maybe try having the player have to destroy the door to go to the next room so they can't always avoid them.

Game looks great! Wish the movement was a little less floaty however. Felt like I was in an ice level haha

I like the art in this one! I didn't really understand the controls for the knives, it felt like I had no control over in which direction the knives would go. Never mind that, apparently I encountered a bug  because when I reloaded the game to check again what was happening with the knives it all worked fine! That time I also saw the main menu trick, that was a fun nod to the theme!

I like that the enemies keep chasing you as you go instead of staying in their rooms, I had a whole tail of them at some point!

Good job :)
