How does you game fit the theme?
Reality has been split across the multiverse, and you are trying to fix it. However when searching for your colleagues, time and time again you find copies of them, and the things in the apartment that are not real.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art assets are from scratch and made by myself(minus a single sprite a friend of mine for an easter egg), however, music and audio are not. I have legal rights to use them, but I did not make them.

The different dimensions are really funny and creative. Full of ducks! Full of mustaches! But two things were an issue for me. First, the controls were pretty rocky; you can move into walls and stuff like that. And second, the fact that the characters mostly just say gibberish was discouraging and made me not want to talk to people.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback that's super helpful! Will definitely adjust for that!  And glad you loved the ducks and mustaches! Thanks for checking out my game!

As all the others say, really cool game! Love the graphics, and the idea of switching dimensions!
Also, a very creative take on this Jam's theme. The only thing you could do better is coding xd
I was often glitching in sprites, flattering around, going inside furniture :P

Other than that, good job and well done, one of the more creative Jam Games i played!

Developer

Thank you so much that was so kind of you to say! I was really fun to brainstorm on the idea!

Yeah so sorry about the glitching, I don't know if you know unity at all (can't tell if your game was made in it or not), but tdlr I forgot to reset the player's order in layers for the animations, when I remade those, so me forgetting to input one number threw off the whole thing ToT

But that's what I get for changing things last minute lol

But seriously thank you for checking out my game!!

That was so cool! The switching across dimensions is done perfectly, and a lot of fun comes from discovering what the next dimension has in store (and -wow- that was never disappointing *_*).

I'm quite confident I've found the culprit, but I think I'm missing something on the object and furniture guess. At first I believed I had to check the only element absent from the inventory, but... at the end, every element was in my inventory! So I tried with elements near the culprit, but nothing seemed to be the right guess :(

So yeah, I loved the dimensional travels, but my detective skills are still very bad :P

Developer

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback, this is super helpful! The tutorialization needs a lot of work as well as the presentation of what you need to find, so I apologize for the confusion! Thank you for explaining your thoughts on the inventory, I will definitely look into making that more clear! So your detection skills are probably fine, that was just a big flaw in the game!

So glad to hear you loved the dimensional traveling, your so nice <3333!

Really nice concept, switching in this various dimensions is good idea and work well! Mustaches and bunnies are my favorite ;)

It's a good idea to use Cluedo rule to find who caused the the split.

Developer

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you liked the dimension switching idea! And thanks! Loved cluedo as a kid, so it was a big inspiration!

YES! So many cool dimensions, so hard to pick a favorite, it's either quaktopia (DUCKS!) or mustacharia (MUSTACHE on EVERYTHING!). Loved playing your game, fantastic work!

Developer

Thank you so much I'm so glad you liked the dimension!!! Thank you for taking the time to check it out it means a lot!

Interesting take on the theme,

I like the different realities and really like the art.

Quacktopia is just my favourite

Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I'm new to pixel art and well art in general (programmer by trade), so makes me super happy to hear you like the art! Hahaha Quacktopia is the favorite hang spot for sure. Can never have too many ducks.

This was a creative twist on Clue, better actually because of the funny things throughout like the random ducks. There were a nice chunk of fun surprises like that which took a familiar concept to the next level and gave it some classic game jam silliness. Great job on all those custom graphics.

Developer

Thank you so much!! I am so glad to hear you liked it! And thank you that's so nice to hear!! I'm glad you enjoyed the silliness! And thanks! I'm still new to art (programmer by trade) so been working hard to beef up those art skillsl!

This was so cool!!! Congrats on your first game jam as a solo dev! You really put a lot of work into this and it shows! I loved the concept of the gameplay and The fact that there was so much to appreciate visually kept the game feeling fresh as you went from dimension to dimension! The ducks were incredible and the bunny one had me afraid in a good way! Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much! That makes me so happy to hear!! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed it!! And thanks yeah a lot of code and very little sleep but was definitely worth it I had so much fun!

I am so glad to hear you liked the bunnies and the ducks!!

Good effort and a very interesting concept in your game. Experienced some layering issues but that aside it was very trippy to have whole bunches of ducks appear randomly xD

Developer

Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback! Hahaha yes never can have too many ducks right?

Loved the game! Great job - the pixel art is great! Here's a video of me playing this game among others where I offer live feedback and thoughts! Hope you enjoy!

Developer

Thank you so  much for your  feedback and rating! Was super helpful to understand where some of the flaws were and helped me see a lot of things I need to tweak. Thank you for taking so much time and giving such a detailed response. It's super helpful!

Pixel art is gorgeous and overall great job on making a heavy narrative game! It's specially challenging for a 7-days of work!

Developer

Thank you so much!! That's so kind of you to say!! I am glad you liked it!

Greate Work! Much gameplay for a gameJam submission, especially if this is your first. Keep it up!

Developer

Thank you so much!! I've done a few game jams, but this was my first one completely solo. Lotta skipped sleep, but definitely worth it. Had a blast!
