How does you game fit the theme?
Orb Boy is a game about a hidden ghost world that the character can make visible with the orb on their head. So the player has to figure out what is real and what is only an illusion and find their way out of the dungeon.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code from scratch (with the help of some tutorials) and created all the graphic assets from scrath myself.
I only downloaded the font and music/sound effects, but made sure that they are published under the SIL Open Font License and the Creative Commons License respectively.

A nice way to have an unreal world and stick to the theme. It was a lot of fun, it only said I had 2 coins IDK if that's a bug, so just saying, so now you know :D That's not a problem it is a very good game!
This is such a fun game! The orb mechanic is amazing and the art is very cool. For a jam, the short level is perfect. But now I want to continue playing!
Cool game, I like the art style and the effects.
Very nice, chill and interesting game! Love all the elements! As you have a great way to regenerate the orbs power, but when it is gone, its like blind play which in some way can be very nice but for this I think it is a bit to hard, so some sort of very slow regeneration would be nice. But it is a innovative and fun game and I like it alot. Great job! Keep it up!
Insanely innovative idea. I encountered a problem where I ran out of orb energy in a blind corner, so I couldn't get back. But I otherwise loved the idea overall and the execution was great.
ORB BOY huh! very cool
This was wonderfully nostalgic. The graphics and audio were really well polished and gave the game a great feel overall. It was a unique take on a dungeon crawler!
Great game, I really really like the character and the art style of your game and also a polished one great job!
a bit unclear how much orb power I had, it seemed to run out first time I played, nice looking game
Nice artwork!
Nice and polished game, fits very well into the jams theme
I like the cute spookiness of the game and the sounds, Cool game!
Cool game! :)
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Neat idea, and good job on the effect that shows hidden paths. The only thing is that I feel like the orb runs out a bit fast, and recharges slowly. Good work!
Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, the orb charge and the placement of recharging orbs would need some more playtesting and balancing
Fun little puzzle!
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it
I like the idea of the orb for a revealing area instead of a more traditional torch. The cool down was a nice touch too.
Thank you for the feedback!
I really enjoyed the illusion and orb mechanic and your take on the theme. It was a fun submission to this jam. Great job and keep it up, this was a lot of fun.
Thank you!
Glad you liked it
Cute game!
We first had a similar idea for our game but we changed it so it's nice to see someone implementing it.
It feels kind of unfair to force the player to cross the pink thingy at the end, I thought I was in a dead end at first, went all the wall back to finally check again and try it.
But anyway, I liked it, good job!
Thank you for the kind words!
Yeah, I wasn't sure about that part too, but the people playtesting it hadn't any problems wit it
Maybe I shouldn't have picked people for playtesting who already knew the game mechanic and some parts of the level
Love the concept, as others have said it took me a second to understand the concept of the game but once the hidden world revealed itself, I understood. I only wish there was more than one level! Keep it up :)
Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, it was kind of intentional to have the player figure out some of the mechanics themselves
So it's nice to hear that you were able tu understand it intuitively :)
Also I had another level in mind, but unfortunately time ran out
Nice little game. Keep it up! :)
Thank you!
