How does you game fit the theme?
I used the theme in a form of a detective and criminal play. The player must find all the evidences and then will switch to a different mode where the player must prove that the crime IS NOT REAL by removing all the evidences in a short amount of time.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I did write all the codes but with references on Unity Documentation. The character assets and some low poly assets are made from scratch. Some furnitures are from pre-made assets as well as music (link in the Credits in the game).

Hey,
This looks and plays amazing. I really enjoyed it. It was a really fun twist switching between detective and baddie :D
nice work.
Please can you vote my game on the last day before the jam ends? Thank you :D
Wow! I was completely surprise, initially I was just going around finding arrows then the plot twist hit me hard and I was trying to remember what I did. Nice strong and surprising mechanic!
Your game feels very polished and complete!
The core premise of your game is pretty good.
I recognized pretty late that I get a time penalty for destroying the wrong evidence so I lost that round pretty quickly and I was a bit annoyed I had to restart from the detective stage again. As that phase is basically no pressure and a good introductory point, it felt like a waste of time replaying again. A checkpoint for the thief-part would be a very worthwhile addition imo.
The map is a bit too large for my taste, but on the other hand you did a good job creating this large space with limited art assets and time budget which is impressive on its own.
You did a great job creating characters that fit the style of the environment art pack you used. Everything looks as if it was all from the same artist.
Thank you very much for that comprehensive feedback. There can be lots of stuff to be improved as far as I can see and I agree that it is punishing to go back to detective mode. Will implement checkpoints next time :) The map became too large due to the reference I used but I should've chose a small one but managed to finish it somehow :) I adjusted also the assets and the character models to make it fit so thank you for that compliment :) Hopefully I can further update the game :D
At first I did not get the 404 reference. The game idea is great! Like the background music ,the change in the tone. To open task and open map would be great to have short keys. It was strange, that I can move with open map, but my poi not moved. Great concept, nice work!
Thank you for the feedback! That was my original plan have the poi move while you are moving but lost time to implement that and probably I still need to study that live update in maps :)
Fun game! I liked that you play as both the detective and the criminal!
In my opinion the map should are more small and more mechanics that only to press one button near a clue.
Anyways.
I like the graphics and idea. Good game :D!!!
Thank you for the feedback. Yeah, I should've invested on a reference map that is a bit small :) There might be other features not just only interacting with the objects that I'm planning and hoping to expand the game :)
nice graphic and game. I would recommend to introduce what crime is it at the first, since now the it give the feeling to me that I am simply going to different location without a clear purpose. The scene is large and many repetitive rooms and many bloods on the ground, I wonder what will be the actual crime behind it so I will engage into finding the clues more.
Thanks for the feedback. The reference material for the level is a huge map and it is too late for me to notice that the area is mirrored therefore the left portion is the same as the right portion of the map. Probably once the game expanded, the crime story can be implemented :) Probably due to the lack of time, and due to the size of the area, I focused on the core mechanics first :) Thank you for the suggestion as well.
The amount of work you accomplished is impressive!! Love the overall feel of the low poly models and the music fits well! One point of feedback would be to give the player more visual / audio feedback for completing an objective. I don't feel the drive to look for all of the objectives and I feel like some fillers in between would have been neat! Great entry!!
Thanks for the feedback. I think this one is related to one of the recent comments. Probably I can do this on the expansion of the game like adding more stories behind the crime or other features. Was also planning for avoiding the police features but yeah, the game probably can still be expandable. :)
Impressive work for a single week. I loved the idea of playing as both, and I think it would have been amazing if your performance as the detective affected the criminal part. Graphics were amazing and the audio fit very well. Amazing work!
I really liked the style your game had, the music and models made for a cool experience. The gameplay felt a little dry though, and I really liked the story, but I expected some more interaction with the evidence like actually showing what you found to the player.
Thank you for the feedback. I agree on adding more interactions with the player :) I'll be working on improving UI elements to make it more interactive. As for the game play, it might seem to look repetitive but I will definitely expand and explore more possibilities for the game. Thank you! :D
I love the music, it fits perfectly with the style of the game and the well-crafted map. Good Job
Rated your Game !!! can you check out mine too? It'd be a huge help if you do rate mine!,
Thank you so much!
here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1415313
The background music is spot on!!
One fairly major bug (but simple to fix!) I found was there is no gravity on the player object and somewhere along the line, I must've stepped up on a box then a table then a pot plant then the walls and never came back down. The player needs gravity or the character controller needs it's step height brought down to zero.
Thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, I forgot to add gravity to the character so as the initial way of preventing it to climb the boxes is i increased the collider but it looks like I still missed something. Thanks also for pointing out the step height as I am looking for the component to conttrol preventing the player to climb up or down. :) Gonna fix it on my local version. Thank you for that ! :)
A very good game, although the first time I didn't know what to do, and I didn't notice the map and objectives at the left, so I couldn't do a thing till the second try.
Thank you for the feedback! Probably I need to improve the UI so that it will be easier for the players to see the objectives and other features the game can offer :)
Love this game! I can't believe all of this was made within a week!
This Game is unique :), the idea of game its so fit the theme.
I loved the low polly style! I really like this type of games. It felt a little tedious at times because the home was sooooo big, but I understood it once I got to the criminal. The music is a vibe!
Hahahaha apologies for a very large play area for the initial level due to the reference map I used. But still, thank you for the feedback :D Might update a better play area and have a progressive difficulty as well. :)
Criminal lost :D Could be a very interesting game, i hope you will work with this idea after the rating period :D
I like how you made it into a memory game~ lol when I realized I was on a timer with the criminal, I panicked. My criminal did not find all the evidence. Not even half XD
Ah yes, the reaction I am waiting for hahaha. I really expected the players to panic. Though the timer is so brutal for first timers but at least you found or memorized at least one evidence hopefully hahaha
