How does you game fit the theme?
It's about the afterimage technique, where one creates a "not real" version of themselves. I also tried to design the enemies and the story around the theme as well.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all art, sound, music, and code from scratch. I however did not create the fonts or soundfonts, which are public domain.

Nice work on the art! I liked the style of the game
The ghosts were annoying indeed, as already mentioned ;p
Awesome game, love your art style and wonderful game mechanic. Fun story too this definitely could be a commercial game!
I beat it!
I like the big wide swing of the sword attack; it's fun and satisfying to use. Sprites have a great art style, and the writing is pretty charming. Yeah, the ghosts are pretty difficult to deal with; however, it becomes decently manageable once you know to only hit the real ones and ignore the fake ones. I didn't like how sometimes they would follow you into the next room, though. Not sure if that was a bug or intentional, but it seemed unreasonably unfair.
Revolving multiple aspects of the game (the player's afterimage ability, the enemies, the boss, and story) around the jam theme was a really clever idea, and you executed that really well.
Didn't find the afterimage ability that helpful, honestly. I think the fact that you dash the same direction you attack limits its potential. If you dashed in the opposite direction of the mouse cursor, I think it would be much more useful.
Thanks for refill the player's health before the boss fight. That felt fair considering the gauntlet you have to get through to get there.
Hey there!
First of all, congrats for finishing the game! It was really fun to play it. I love the dialogue, it's really funny. The pixel art is great and the music fits the art style. I feel like the game becomes hard really fast, but maybe I'm just bad at it, ha-ha.
Nonetheless, the game was really fun and I enjoyed every second of it. Congrats!
It would be really awesome to have you playing my game too, if you don't mind of course. ^_^

you are a genius
Movement was surprisingly smooth...
Love the art and music!
Gameplay is nice but a bit to hard for my taste
Very nice game I love it, The animations and the art is very nice, the music and sound effects are amazing and the battling is really satisfying and smooth. Added it to my collection :)
Rated it! If possible do rate and play my game :)
Gameplay is really fun. I didn't understand the mechanics of some of the enemies but the controls are type and it feels good to kill stuff. Nice job
Another hidden gem. Gameplay is incredible, but feels a bit unfair. Maybe some short invicibility after taking damage would do the trick. But that didn't stop me to play until I got an ending. The dialogues are funny, and well written! Art is pretty nice as well! I can see this becoming something bigger. Hope you get more reviews and won't stop in your samurai journey. Great job!
Check out my game too if you have a time :)
That was a great game! Super fun but super hard. Was not able to beat it _yet_
Wicked clean game!
Fun idea!
The game is sick! I do wish the after image factored in more, but other than that I thought the game was fast and fun.
It took me an embarrassing amount of tries to learn the ghost's tell. I was honestly just memorizing the pattern for a while there.
The game cracked me up a couple times, especially during the boss and ending cinematics. Nice job.
Cool game!
Awesome Game! I like the combat mechanic and progression. I think a hurt sound may have helped as sometimes I didn't even know I was getting hit lol. Otherwise awesome game!
I did it: https://imgur.com/a/QTFaMtX
I had fun, despite the difficulty
Cool Submission :D Bonus points for making the story skipable.
I enjoyed!
