This game is great! The graphics and audio fit perfectly together, and the core mechanics were easy to learn but had a lot of room for the player to get better at using them!

How does you game fit the theme?
The enemies are lonely. Your job as a cupid is to show them that they are not alone. Basically you are the one that says "You're not alone" to the enemies.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code, graphics and music are all made from scratch. Sound effects and fonts are not.

Neat idea. Would've been a bit easier if making a pair gave you a heart to refill your health. Gives it a bit of leeway to make mistakes.
A very interesting game! I liked how you had the bring the enemies together and how it wasn't the most difficult concept.
The art, music, sound design, and mechanics all seemed very polished; wasn't anything fundamental that I noticed was severely lacking. Good attributes that most game jam games don't have.
The mechanical theme with love was an interesting design choice, but it sort of works. If you want to continue the idea, it would be a cool theme to explore: love vs. logic, humans vs. machines
As stated before, the map layout and level design seemed sort of random and it was hard to know where you were. It was mostly just randomly wandering around until you found the correct people. I also wish the enemies were most distinct (rather than just a color change). Most frustrating part was having to restart all the levels if you died (which is pretty easy to do).
Otherwise, neat concept for this jam and keep up the work!
This is a really good game! I like the concept of beating enemies by making them drawn near to each other, the lighting and shadows do a great job hiding and adding to the difficulty of the game. I reached only level 3 so far haha.
My gripes with the game would be that the map design is often a bit too random for my liking, not a fan of those 1 tile walls especially. I haven’t gone far to see if the game offers upgrades for the movement and visibility of the player.
also there’s this one bug where if you have 3 enemies of the same type, one of them would be stuck with a heart emote. I find it funny but bringing that up in case you decided to continue development on this game !
Interesting game idea! I also liked the graphics and sounds. Great job!
I love the super cute art style and the gameplay XD. Good job!
Excellent! The game is very pretty to look at and I liked the idea. Felt somewhat refreshing to give enemies some love instead of killing them.
Graphic wise, I found it a bit weird that when moving the character seemed shaky, as if it had some judder. Also I had no idea what was that thing the enemies shoot at you. Other than that, amazing art! I liked the main menu moving when you waved the mouse, the font fit very well to the "machine" ambient. The transitions between stages was amazing and I liked the weird portal that took you to the next stage.
The path finding on the enemies worked very well. I'd just make the visible area for the cupid a bit larger because in later stages it got real hard to navigate when lots of enemies are coming after you. I managed to get to floor 4, thought the difficulty progression was rather balanced.
The audio is responsive but feels weird at times. The song during gameplay doesn't seem to fit the environment, but maybe that was by design.
Also, one minor thing was that sometimes a line artifact would show on the screen, as if some problem with rendering a single frame. Maybe that was just some WebGL shenanigans.
Overall, beautiful game and quite fun! Congratulations!
The song combined with the machine ambient is really creeping me out for some reason.
Anyways, really well made, but can be tedious if you are not careful.
Didn't like the song, but other than that I loved this. Such a cute idea, one of the best interpretations of the theme, and it was decent challenge.
Art was great! You even had screen transitions! And you also fit in a great little tutorial. It's also an interesting and novel take on the theme.Effects like lighting were done well, but may not fit the more light-hearted theme. It seemed more like the lighting in a horror game and made it more difficult to lead the enemies, which is tricky enough.
When I spawned onto the next level, I landed right next to an enemy, who proceeded to spam bullets at me. Enemies should not appear so close to player spawn points. Perhaps the area around them should be a little larger, so you could sneak around better.
Great entry, with just a few tweaks needed to make it really solid. Good job!
Nice game! The artwork and pixel art are great. Once I got used to the gameplay it was pretty fun to play! Though maybe if you could add a few settings for your game (like spawn one heart after reuniting two enemies) so it could be a bit more forgiving.
Nice game mate, I like the lighting and the art and even the game and the design
A very nice game with cute pixel art. Definitely a very unique mechanic with pairing enemies together. An addition of a pointer to the closest enemy would be greatly appreciated. Overall, a very nice game, good job!
Great game! The spritework was impressive! The mechanics and theme were really well mixed. Great job!
Amazing work and polish on this game! The controls feel tight, the animations are clean and well made, everything about this is made to a very high quality.
As a UI designer I might be a little biased, but that was probably my favourite feature! The menus are responsive and the information is gotten across to the player very well.
Very cool concept! Love leading the enemies to each other, feels a bit like a puzzle too in that sense
