How does you game fit the theme?
after seeing the theme (You're not ALONE)
the idea that i came up with is that you have to use more than one copy of the player to win the game.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes everything was created by me except the audio
SFX: Shapeforms
MUSIC: Void1 Gaming

Fun game!
Nice game! I like how the letters on the edge were a bit lower than the middle ones so you needed to adjust your timings for them. I also had trouble figuring out what to do, I noticed you could spawn the guys, and I tried clicking on the letters, but nothing happened, I tried clicking slightly above, but I guess I didn't click high enough. The guide sorted it out tho. Perhaps there could be a red zone around the letters to let you know you can't click there, or maybe the cursor could change when hovering over letters to let you know clicking there won't work. I also didn't realise I had to use space until reading the guide. You could try making the simulation auto-start when you run out of time, you could also make a separate effect for when you're running the simulation, like the background could get a bit darker or maybe you could lower the pitch of the music. Also having ui indicating that space is useful ingame could help.
But once I got past that learning hurdle, the game was great! Interesting little puzzle / speedgame, I've never seen anything like this, I was actually hoping for more. With all the wind in the background, maybe you could've also introduced a wind effect that pushes the tape recorders, then you'd need to compensate for that when placing guys. But even as is, I really enjoyed your game, great job!
Fun game, took me a bit to understand how it works until I went to the Guide and then it went much smoother.
Space had me changing from full screen back and forth, not sure why - might be an issue on my end, or Mac's build issue, I'm not sure.
Besides that it was a pretty relaxing fun experience, well done :)
thank you really happy you had fun
and I'm very sorry the Mac build has problems I don't know why, and I can't test the game on Mac so I had no idea that anything was wrong
thank you for the feedback.
Nice game, but i think there is a missed opportunity to make extra points making different words, game can also make mage for exemple. And i feel like lara or lara. the A should be able to be performed in the order the player would like. And the timer should stop when space is entered in my opinion.
Overall i had good fun !
hhhhh, I know all will be fixed, and thank you for the feedback
and I'm really happy you had fun.
[?] What did you mean ( game can also make mage ) [?]
You can make the word mage using the letters from the word game, so lvl (i think) 3 could have a bonus to make different words with the letters given 😁
I had a terrific time playing this game and found myself wanting more. The interactive resource is top-notch. It would be excellent if we could see the clickable region so that it doesn't feel like clicks are being ignored. The only issue I encountered was that there seems to be a height below which you can't click. I also wonder if you could stop hitting Space and just drop them once they are all in their proper positions. Nice audio and graphic design overall. Amazing work! Would you like to play my game? Its very enjoyable I promise :) You dont have to though its up to you!
thank you, yeah I'm gonna keep that in mind
thank you very much for the feedback.
I'll just say one thing very unique take on the theme.... Nice Game
thank you really glad you liked it.
This is great game idea, very enjoyable to play and it left me wanting more. The interactive guide is excellent. The only issue I had was that there seems to be a height below which you can't click; it would be nice if we could see the clickable area so that it doesn't feel like clicks are being ignored. I also wonder if you could remove pressing Space and simply drop them as soon as they're all placed? Overall nice graphics and audio design. Great work!
PS: Thanks for the Linux build.
you're welcome
and thanks for the feedback I will keep that in mind.
really glad you enjoyed the game.
As soon as I understood it, which took some time because I missed that you have to press space, this was unexpectedly fun. Very simple but it got me into some kind of flow to play more.
It all feels super polished which was great! I think the tutorial screen could've been arranged a bit better. The diagonal was a bit confusing at first, but in general a great idea for a tutorial
Other than that I wish there was more and some longer words as well!
thank you for the feedback and I'm really happy you liked the game
I will be adding more words to the game later.
I liked the core concept and I think it has potential, but it was mostly just placing the clones at different elevations and eventually getting it through trial and error. I think if there were other mechanics, like things that move the clones so you have to plan where they drop or buttons you had to press, it would be more interesting. Also, I do not think the timer was all that necessary, I think the focus of the game if you develop it further should be for the player to try to plan the paths of the clones through trial and error. It's a cool concept though, and like other people have said, I think it could make a cool mobile game with more levels and mechanics!
nice thank you I will keep that in mind, thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing.
it's a cool concept but my gameplay on mac somehow didn't show any music at all. other than that cool game :D
oh I'm sorry I will work on fixing that but thank you so much for playing and I'm glad you liked the game.
thank you really happy you liked the game.
Really polished. It looks great! It plays great! The concept is simple with the tutorial, which helped a ton and a lot of games in the jam are missing! Well done! Thank you for making this game!
you're welcome, and thank you for the feedback.
Great game, short and sweet but very polished
thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed playing.
It's a fun concept, I can see this being an addictive mobile game if done well. I struggled with spawning the characters where and when I click though. Otherwise I think I could've enjoyed it a bit more.
thank you for playing
yeah I have been seeing suggestions to make it a mobile game
thanks for the feedback.
Fun concept, I would just like it more if it had more variety in the levels besides just placing it down and then hitting space in order.
this is interesting I will keep that in mind
thank you for the feedback.
Interesting idea! The character motifs have a mysterious charm.
thank you.
I loved playing this, and I loved the concept! Do you mind rating my game when you get the chance?
thank You, I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the game all the way through. I wish there were more levels, this is so much fun. I gotta say this can be turned into a great mobile game. My only complaint is that it sometimes didn't respond to clicks for some reason but other than that the game is perfect and super polished.
hhhhh
it's really nice to know you liked it
As for the mouse not responding I added an invisible barrier around the letters so that you can't spawn the player so close to the letters.
I like the "player-copying" idea, enjoyed playing the game ;)
I'm really happy that you enjoyed it
Thank you for the feedback.
