Nice game! The graphics and music are really cool! I think the tank moves a bit too fast and it would be nice to aim yourself, but its a good game!!

How does you game fit the theme?
You start alone in a fortress but rescue friends to help you fight enemies.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes! Excluding some sound effects we made all the art, music, and code from scratch in the one week timeframe.

i am absolutely thankful for save functionality.
some maps after all 4 towers only provide 10/15 materials thus progress locking me.
Tower: Stage when you spawn on it forces slows the player to a halt.
layering issues.
music loops way too early but sounds great.
in mountain peak at the far left the void is present.
the purple enemies don't even do damage.
the game (at least for a jam game) is extremely large and ambitious.
the Tower: Conservatory is bit too powerful.
i like the "sticker-like" outlines.
the map preview is nice.
This game is super cute! I love the "Vampire Survivors" type of gameplay and the art is beautiful. The game also has a lot of content. Well done!
Enjoyed the story and the cartoon graphics! It’s an interesting take on the Tower Defense genre! Alas, I got stuck completing some of the missions.
Have a look at my play-through! Hope it helps in improving the game! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1585164777
The graphics and music were very nice, but personally I didn't find the gameplay to be engaging enough. Maybe I didn't progress far enough, but just moving around with WASD while the gun does the shooting gets boring after a while. I also felt the game needed more "juice" - small things like the tank facing the direction it is moving, enemy knockback, recoil, more animations etc. can go a long way towards making the game a lot more enjoyable to play. But still, I can tell you put in a lot of work into this submission. I'm not sure whether you were short on time or just starting out, but I hope you don't mind the negative feedback and are able to take it in.
We really appreciate it! This was our first time working together and more than half the team had no game dev knowledge at all so we had our handful of hiccups (especially with the time crunch). We've since updated our game to incorporate a lot of the feedback we've been getting because this is all very helpful, especially the level of detail in your comments. Much appricated!
Walked up all the castle floors before finding the level select laptop. Tank is super fast and the starting weapon is super weak (to its detriment) but I liked the towers idea. Unlocking towers to place down in the level is novel and the poison tree made up for the low damage of the tank gun.
I liked the sheer amount of content it seems to have, many stages, powerups, characters and rooms in your fortress.
But the gameplay is sort of all over the place. When it started, I wasn't sure what to do, tried walking and discovered I was the old medieval doctor guy. I couldn't interact with. When I approached the notebook it started the stage choice and I didn't understand the tower/fortress message stuff, also I didn't find the option to come back to the fortress. So I decided to go mountain peak, clicking next even if all it showed me were those locks as if I couldn't go there.
The tank fighting feels alright, although the tank feels a bit too fast and his attacks are way too slow. Some sound effects for shooting/enemies dying would go a long way. I didn't understand what happened when it teleported me saying I found a safe area or something. Then walking through my fortress I found a dude I seemed to have saved. Also, for some reason some of the enemies simply disappeared as I kept running away from them and shooting. Especially the giant guys in the frozen peak.
On my second run I understood how to use a tower, in the first one I tried dragging or clicking the areas in the map and nothing happened. That's on me too, I didn't try clicking the tower then the space, but a small explanation or tutorial would be appreciated.
The game has an impressive amount of content, but it needs some tweaking in the movement and some juice in the effects and sound areas. And some tutorials.
Cool game! I think it has a lot of potential with some minor tweaks and bug fixes! A few things confused me like in one of the areas I unlocked a tower within 5 seconds moving around the map, and in the other I had to defeat all the enemies! Overall the gameplay was fun, I liked the style of the art and the replayabilty! Good work!

Great job! I really liked the art style, and the music was super cute. The sound affects were very nice as well. The only Issue I had was the UI was a tad but confusing, but overall I enjoyed it!
They're so cute! Congrats on the art, I love it!
The characters are a bit slow to move but as soon as you pop in the tank it's like nyooooooooooom, hahaha :D
It's fairly easy to cheese the ennemies though, you can pack then by havinf then walk into a wall, and then just run circles around them :D. On one level I had to gather 12 resources, I killed all ennemies and they only dropped 10 so I was stuck :(
Anyway, good job, keep it up!
I found the game a little puzzling to play, the UI was not particularly intuitive. However I enjoyed the art and felt that there was a lot of work put into the level design!
