I've never seen a concept like this before ! Could have more mechanics to it !

How does you game fit the theme?
You control 2 characters that help each other to their respective exits.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything except the music was made by me.

One of the best puzzle games I have played so far in the jam. Absolutely amazing and very well designed. Goob job!
There were a few games where you had to swap between platformers but yours was (in my opinion) the best in the jam! Using the negative space to your advantage was such a clever concept. It would be really cool to see some animations and sound effects as well. Good Job!
great game love the idea (can u rate my game i only have 2 rates till 20)
This is a fantastic concept. It started out very easy but became quite difficult at the end; I managed to finish all the levels, but a couple of them took me a while. Great vibe and consistent visuals. Excellent work!
I'm actually intrigued by how you implemented it; maybe dynamically subtracting the collision polygons?
To give more details, I imported each level as an Image instead of a texture, with the white parts being transparent, and used Bitmap.create_from_image_alpha() to generate the bitmap. I then used set_bit_rect() to subtract out the area of the non-active player, then opaque_to_polygons() to generate the collision polygons. As for why I imported each level as an Image instead of a BitMap directly, it's because I can use Texture. create_from_image() to generate the background sprite for the level, so each level only requires one PNG file as a resource.
Damn, couldnt figure out one of the last one. really clever game idea, simple graphics jazz music and easy to learn mechanics all made this great game. Good job!
The game was pretty unique, I didnt get all the way through it, but I enjoyed the mechanics. I had an issue with my sticky keys kept getting turned on so i had to reset that. Im used to playing with shift so tapping is difficult when I hold it down.
Over all great idea. Thanks
Thanks, I did also consider having W for jump and Space for switch, but decided not to go with it because from what I know, Space is the key typically used for jumping in platformers, and since Boxy is upside-down that means I will probably have to make the S key his jump button, which can confuse the player if they have to keep switching between W and S keys. Also, I've never played games where you had to hold down Shift constantly, so I wasn't aware of your problem.
awesome game! the art is simple but gives a great gaming experience along with the challenging gameplay, good learning curve for the player, the music gives a good chill vibe while playing, I would be playing this one again! overall I enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!
I like the minimalist art style, but this art makes me a little confused. I didn't really get the objective at first and I was moving around trying to find exit and trying to make a shape thinking that it would make me pass the level. Not thinking that exits are zero-shaped that doesn't even fit each block.
However, good puzzle. I find this creative.
The music and visuals are relaxing and the levels are easy to play. It was great, I really enjoyed your game !
Nice idea! I enjoyed the creativity of the level design and the interaction needed to reach the end. Well done!
pretty amazing. Well executed ideas and relaxing music. I’m not the greatest fan of shift but it was pleasant. I enjoyed the ideas, and it reminded me of Sokoppo
This game was really relaxing, and the simplicity felt polished. I enjoyed the puzzles too, I thought it was a creative way to implement the theme. The puzzle designs are neat, but it did feel a little tedious after a bit since they can be a little repititive. Overall, I really like the entirety!
Thanks! I originally had very lofty ideas for this game - I wanted to create 16 puzzles, with a poem to go along with the puzzles, and make the whole game structured like a book with paper-flipping scene animations, a voiceover reading each line of the poem, and so on, but didn't have time for all of that extra stuff. So what ended up happening is that some of the level ideas got stretched over a few puzzles to try to hit that 16-puzzle limit, creating a bit of repetition. I think the repetition is reduced considerably in the later levels, after the "freezing" mechanic is introduced in Level 9.
