Pretty fun game, I really like the look and sound of it. The boss design was really cool. It could use a bit more variety in the combat, such as some combos or a heavy attack to spice it up. Nevertheless, great work! Keep it up!

cool game with cool concepts! the art is cool and the music fits the game :) but it does feel a little boring at some point after playing for some time and i didn't really understand when i got damaged or how much health the enemies have but other then that its great :D

I really like the art style. The silhouettes with the lighter hills and stuff in the background looks really cool. It would be even more awesome if it had a parallax effect though. The gameplay is really simple, but it's not bad. I would suggest giving some better feedback for when the player hits enemies (make them flash white or something like the boss does) so that they know their sword is actually doing something. As far as movement is concerned, I personally think the samurai could move a good bit faster (or add a sprint button) just to make the game feel a bit better and reduce time spent walking. The boss at the end was cool, but it felt almost impossible to move out of the attack area before getting attacked (though I do really like the indicator of when/where he's going to hit). It was also a bit weird that I get sent straight back to the title screen after killing the boss.

But overall, this is a pretty cool game that has a lot of potential with a few tweaks!

Cool little silhouette-style sidescroller.

Pros: great art, sells its concept well, good use of theme, helpful tutorial, cool monster design.

Cons: movement is pretty janky, the gameplay is fine but it gets a bit stale with only one attack, the boss fight feels a bit clunky since the only real meta is "run in, attack once, run away to get high enough to jump over the attack", the existing sound design was good but I'd have loved to hear more of it like creature sounds, impacts, etc.

Overall it's a really cool style and one of the more unique games I've seen, I'd love to see it updated post-jam because I think with more polish to the movement, more enemies, some extra sound design, and a couple more attacks this has potential to be a really fun game that I would personally play in my free time.

Nice little side scroller. The art style worked great with the silhouettes for everything on the map. Seemed to be very difficult to die even when I was trying to do so intentionally so there wasn't much challenge to the game but the music complimented the game nicely and set up the calm mood well

This game was soo relaxing to play. I love the sfx and the art style of it! I was a little uncertain over how the death mechanic actually worked because I didn't notice any difference in the game.

Some bugs I ran into: The skip tutorial button locks the game in a blackscreen that you can't get rid of, and the death/win counter doesn't seem to count for me.

Overall a very cute game! Great work!
