Swapping between enemies and players on death is a really cool idea! After completing my life goal I did end up getting softlocked (maybe that was intentional?) but other than that, great job, I love the animations!

How does your game fit the theme?
Each time the player gets beaten the enemy becomes the protagonists. Ending your last journey and starting a new one in a persistentworld.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code, the art and music was gotten from free sources.

Awesome!! When a player dies, the way the opponent becomes a new player is unique and I like it! Also wiggling effects are cool.
That was such a great idea for the theme. I feel like this would work great as a larger project too. Good work!
A nice little classic JRPG! Quite an interesting interpretation of the theme. The art and audio assets were pretty nice. I found that using potions were very powerful in this game since you can use multiple very turn but other than that I thought the gameplay was pretty well thought out! Nice game!
ohhh, nice interpretation on the theme! :D It really lets you take on both perspectives of the story! The art style is also really good, i really dig the heavy outlines on the characters. My one minor complaint is that i think I found a typo in the main menu, where the first button says "Being Journey" instead of "Begin Journey" lol. Besides that, I really enjoyed the game!
A super interesting concept and great way of encouraging the player to learn about both groups in the story. It really hits home the idea that your enemy is a person with a life and a story, since when you die, you assume that story. I also really liked the environmental storytelling that explored the contrast between the groups, especially the way the human's classism was depicted. Overall, I think you had a really cool idea and you executed it really well!
nice game, the attack sound I really was not expecting that. you did a lot of work in such a short time, interesting game mechanic switch the player with the enemy after each battle, but it should have been more noticeable on the player character that is being controlled in the game screen. good job !
Very cool game! I didn't understand which character I was for a while because I didn't realize I was switching places with the people I lost to but that's a really cool mechanic I haven't seen before. Art style was great, SFX were great, and story was great. Small detail but for a game that looks this polished I enjoy a more stylized font (but that could just be me). Overall great job!
Fun to play, I haven't seen any that type of game in this jam so far. Music and art was also great, good job!
This is a cool game, almost like Pokémon, but you become the Pokémon you lost to. It was fun to play and explore the charming world.
many features for one week not bad, there is a lot of your time in it
The game is very fun, A lot of effort was put into it, I see potential in this game!
One of the best games i’ve played! The idea of switching protagonists when you die is really creative and I think you have made a really fun game out of this idea. The only feedback I have is to balance the game a bit more because I could defeat monsters really easily as a human but not the other way around. Otherwise, super great game!
Great game, one of the best I've played! I love the idea and that everyone has their own life goal. Another thing is the movement for me it feels cool to not have it grid based. Really enjoyable, my only issue is the balancing I guess, because enemies randomly hit you for absurd damage and I feel that playing as a human is somehow much easier?
Very unique and ambitious game! I like the smooth movement and the visual effects in combat. The music fits very well. Well done, keep it up!
Really cool use of the theme. I really enjoyed playing this game and it looks like a ton of work went into making it. Great job!
Neat concept! Ive always liked the idea of seeing things through multiple points of view in a game.
