SPEED. Fun game, great visual and audio, and I kind of like how slippery it is, but it may have to be either capped at a certain point or allow the player some for of airbraking, but it was very fun and well implemented!

How does your game fit the theme?
You try to drive a drop of water to save a dry plant from death to bring it to the new beginning
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code was made by me, and some assets and music are imported.

Really neat concept! Controls were a bot too slippery for my liking but still a great job!
The game was really fun, the platforming was hard but felt good after I figured it out, and I loved the story!
One thing I would have wanted to see is moree frequent checkpoints...
great game!
Really nice visuals, music and fun! Although I have to admit, I died a lot in the beginning. It was hilarious because I thought the plants I had to water were the first thing I saw on the screen 😆. But, I kept going and had a blast figuring out the controls and the right amount of jumps to make it through.
it was very interesting to play, there are almost no bugs and it suits jam well
I like the physics of the game, and how the drop of water deforms. The game is short and relaxing, its rewarding to beat every single part and come back doing it more easily and faster. I love how the theme is used to tell a story, and a nice one on that!
Controls are not obvious at first, a small text at the start screen would be enough to explain.
Also, "artstation" is not an artist, credits are owned to be made properly, even if they are many :/ You did if for the music,
Encountered a bug where text appears as I die, so I cannot read it before it disappear.
Thank you for your feedback on the physics, gameplay, and story of the game. It's great to hear that you found it enjoyable and rewarding to beat each part.
Thank you for bringing up the issue with the credits. We all agree that credits are important and should be properly attributed. I will make sure to address this in the future also the others issue.
Thank you again for your feedback! Much appreciations.
Game looks cool and the sound is great. Just my personal opinion, I was not a fan of the controls. To me I never felt really in control. Still, really good game and great job!
Really liked the soft body physics of the drop. A little bit more controllability of the drop would have gone a long way. Great work putting this together!
Very nice game! Like others said, the lack of a checkpoint is a big setback, specially with the speed the drop can achieve and the one hit kill mechanic. Besides this, the game was beautiful. I like the message and how it was implemented, the movement was nice and I like the 5 jump with reload thing.
Nice work!!!!
Nice game! Love the overall artistic style; the visuals, audio and narrative all blend together and send the message quite well.
Personally, I think the challenging nature of the game fits perfectly with the message that it's a delicate droplet of water, so difficulty is fine for me. However, the lack of checkpoints can be quite frustrating, so I would definitely add those here and there.
And a minor thing: all the time that I was playing all I could think of was what animation would work to represent the jumps. Something like a split into smaller droplets that then collect back into a bigger one when you drop to the floor? (kind of like in this game, but more subtle: https://store.steampowered.com/app/683260/Inops/ ). It might be too challenging to implement, but I feel like the jumps should be shown somehow.
Great job!
Thank you for your kind words about the game! I'm glad you enjoyed the overall artistic style, and the narrative worked well together to convey the message.
I appreciate your feedback about the game's difficulty and lack of checkpoints. It's great to know that the game's challenging nature aligns with the delicate droplet of water concept for you, but I can understand how the lack of checkpoints can be frustrating. In the future, I will definitely consider adding checkpoints to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for players who may find it difficult.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to play and provide your feedback. It's precious to me, and I hope you have a great day!
That was great. The "jumping" was difficult at first, but I got the hang of it.
I think i need help here, i can't even jump over the first branch. I tryed now over 20 times i just die every time :D is there any trick to it?
EDIT: Jus found out, yes there is a trick. you can jump multiple times while in the air
The Waterdrop looks pretty cool but the game is pretty hard and punishing. Iam not sure if there are any checkpoints but even after 3 min of suriving i didn't find a checkpoint and just restarted the entire game :D I think it is a good game and a different twist with the sliding mechanic compared to other platormers. but it's to hard for my taste without checkpoints.
Overall, it's great that you were able to appreciate the game's unique mechanics, but it's understandable that the difficulty level may have detracted from your overall enjoyment of the game.
However since it's a short game, it sounds like the difficulty level may be a bit too high for your liking. It's understandable that the lack of checkpoints can make the game feel frustrating and punishing, to start all over again.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feedback!
I really liked the the music, calming music even though the game itself is kinda frustrating to play! The art for the game is simple but it does fit the game quite well. Not sure if the frustrating controls were intentional, but it was kinda fun trying to get used to it! I also like the interpretation of the theme. Definitely a nice entry!
It's great to hear that you enjoyed the music in the game, even though the gameplay itself was frustrating.
Regarding the frustrating controls, it's hard to say whether they were intentional or not, but it's good to hear that you found it fun to try and get used to them.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!
I absolutely love the art in the beginning menu! Also a good choice of music! There is a small bug where you can still jump and move around after you die, and it also gets a little hard to control when you start moving really fast. However, the vibe is so cool and the jelly-like animations of the water droplet are great! The good sound effects add a bunch as well.
Thank you for your feedback on the game's art and sound design! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall vibe of the game and appreciated the attention to detail in the water drop animations and sound effects.
I apologize for the bug you encountered, I'll make sure to manage it in a future update.
