Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yup

Not much of a puzzle game player, but man I really enjoyed the attention you've got for sound design, such a well polished entry !
I really like this game jam because of all these old good game vibes. Really nice and challenging game!
This puzzle game was a lot of fun, great job! A nice addition would be holding down a key to move faster!
Genius. Very smart, challenging puzzles. An original take on the theme. Unique graphics and insanely disturbing audio (which is good).
This game is very fun to play, all puzzles are challenging and well designed! Graphics and sound effects completed the good environment
I liked it a lot, nice work!
Nice job, I really like the art style and what I can only assuming is some sort of procedural texturing on William.
I found out at level 11 that the eyes follow the mouse. And you said my biomass mechanic was nice? Man your worm can reverse! And as it feeds it grows, its basically snake as a puzzle game!
I might be a bit generous, but I rated 5 stars everywhere appart from audio and game design: sound are a bit repetitive, I've heard that alternating a same sound with different pitch does wonder (should have done that myself if I had time). Also, lacking vision on how many levels are ahead, not being able to skip or select level is too bad :(
By the way, I've a total count of 1002 steps =D
1002 is an impressively low number of steps. Some of the sounds do change pitch to try and decrease the repetitiveness, but there is definitely a need for some alternate sounds. I am planning to add some level selection screen and some more levels after the jam rating period ends.
Thank you for your feedback!
Nice design and art style and shader on the snake is cool. I like that you don't count invalid inputs (like moving in the direction of a wall doesn't hurt your move count). The undo feature is really nice; I think it might be more impactful for the undo to still increment your move count up, since the game is about carefully planning your route. Not sure why, but I had no sound even after reloading in browser. Good submission.
Hmm, weird your sound doesn't work some of the html5 stuff is a bit janky and I suspect that the exe should work. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to decrement the step count or not with the undo, and even to reset the step count on dying/restarting. My reasoning to make the undo button decrement the step count was so that you didn't feel pressured just to restart every time you screw up, as it would make the game more tedious. Although I do see that the undo button's existence allows for much more of a mindless brute-forcing play-style, so maybe It would be beneficial to penalize missteps
Got to level 11. Super fun, one of my favorites so far, very well designed puzzles and polished experience. Great job!
hehe this game was fun to play! the visuals and sound match perfectly! great game!
Cool puzzle game! Do you need 300 more names? Play my game!!
Love it first one to use that mechanic "the end of a corridor" nice take on the snake genre I guess (if that is a thing...) :D
really cool concept! love the face side switching mechanic, super innovative :)
