How does your game fit the theme?
A Frog (you) has a mission to start a new beginning for himself. The game is about the frog realizing what a new beginning really is. The message teaches the player that you don't have to start a new beginning, because every ending already starts one.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets (Music, Visuals, UI, Code) were made from scratch during the jam period by me (Coding Kricket).

I love the aesthetic of this game and It's even more impressive knowing it's all original assets. I especially love how you used cinematic effects. All of it was very cute and fun :)

Thank you! I have been practicing blender a lot lately and thought I'd put it to good use!

I died of cuteness! The atmosphere and the sounds are great. The camera felt a little janky tho

Also a queston, how did you get the fullscreen to not extend the cameras range

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! So, I actually built the game in a fixed resolution. Would it be better to build it in a large resolution so the Fullscreen button will work? (Sorry I get kind of lost when it comes to building games).

No no no, the thing is when I built my game in unity and pressed fullscreen, the camera would become larger which I didn't want so I scrapped the fullscreen mode. In yours, that doesn't happen, and I just wanted to know how you were able to do it.

Developer

Oh alright. So, I'm not exactly sure but I think it had something to do with me resizing the game canvas in unity. So pretty much I went to build settings, then I think I went to player settings. I clicked on WebGL and from there I went scrolled down a little and clicked resize or something like that. And then it gives you pixel values to set as your game's resolution. I hope that made sense, I'm sure there are YouTube videos about it too if that helps.

This was so cute, I loved the little plapping sound of the frog walking. This was just a happy little feel-good game :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The sound effects were a lot of fun to make. I don't normally make them, but I wanted to try it out this jam!

Nice and cute game!

You have created pleasant game aesthetics (visuals and music). Also, you have created an interesting narrative with a strong and obvious (in a good sense) message!

I like it!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I had a lot of fun designing the assets and music!

I love the squishing motion of the frog. The music is calming and fits the game. I had problems with dialogue appearing multiple times after I have completed them, but running away from the characters helped. I admire you for making a game on your own!

Developer

Thank you! This was actually my first time making a proper rigged character, so animating was something I had a lot of fun with!

Developer

Thank you! I had a lot of fun trying out this art style!
