How does your game fit the theme?
After the death of the protagonist, he is reborn into his favorite video game. He now has a new beginning and another chance at life after his untimely end.
Also in the game itself, each bird is created by the death of the previous bird.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Very interesting little game! :) Feedback I can give you is the movement felt a bit slow (maybe that was on purpose though) and like some have also said; feedback about how high you'll fly would make it better.
The game was very well made! Very impressive work! :)
Thanks for playing! I had intentionally made the player slow when they just hatch to make them feel a bit more vulnerable until they grow up, but maybe I overdid it a little. Thanks again!
Very nice visuals and nice parallax effect. It was a bit hard to understand how to fight the boss and it was also annoying that you could die when you jumped into the room and on top of the boss and the controls were overall a bit "weird"
Yeah I had tried to solve the issue of the boss being in the wrong spot to begin with, but it looks like it doesn't always work :|
What did you find weird about the controls?
I love the visuals of the game and how you can see all the dead bodies that have piled up.
Really nice naration and mechanics, one of the best platformers I played during this JAM so far !
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. I'll get to yours in a bit :)
I really like the idea and aesthetics of the game, but i personally think that the controls were too frustrating. For example that you can't move while airborn and also that you can't see in which direction you are flying, but overall, pretty nice game!
Game aesthetics are brilliant, especially art! The theme is pretty hilarious but engaging.
Fortunately, I found the game easy to get the hang of with the main game mechanic - jumping. For me, it is the perfect amount of feedback about how high and in which direction I will jump but still leaving enough for the player to enjoy the learning curve. Because of that, most of the time I've heated the floors rather than hitting walls and falling down. It doesn't really need any additional UI elements to help players understand how exactly they will jump: that'd be too easy!
The game is great and I 100% enjoyed it! Keep up the great work
lmao I just had some serious Deja Vu reading that thank you
Game aesthetics are brilliant, especially art! The theme is pretty depressing but interesting.
Unfortunately, I had some trouble with the main game mechanic - jumping. For me, it is not enough feedback about how high and in which direction I will jump. Because of that, most of the time I've heated the walls rather than jump on platforms and move further. Would be nice to have some additional UI elements that help me understand how exactly I will jump.
But still, the game is great and I mostly like it!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I do agree with you on the UI, I was intending to put in a dotted line/arch in the direction of the throw, but the time limit got the better of me lol. Thanks for playing!
was fun, forgot i was able to move so i kept dying in the boss lol
Lol Thanks for playing! You said you forgot you could move - How was the movement in general? Did you find it easy or difficult to control?
thanks again!
it was easy to move, just arrow keys or A and D (the description didn't specify you could use arrow keys). i did find it a bit annoying that you immediately stop after touching the ceiling instead of flying further across the ceiling
Ok thanks for the feedback! In retrospect I definitely could've had the player egg just bounce off the ceilings instead of stop completely. Good advice thanks :)
