How does your game fit the theme?
I came up with the idea of a game where you'd be able to choose your own respawn locations. I thought that a chicken🐔 would fit the theme really well since the eggs🥚 could be used as respawn locations!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I used the Unity game engine to create this game. I wrote the code for the game myself. I also did the art, and some sound effects by myself.
For the sound effect that I didn't make myself, I used soundly.

Credits for the music used:
- Game Over music: Buttercup by MixAndMash
- Gameplay music: Run Little Chicken by The Mini Vandals
- Gameplay music: 8bit Dungeon Level by Kevin MacLeod

Credits of the fonts used:

Super cute with a good interpretation of the theme! I did have some issues with the controls feeling a bit slippery, but overall, nice job!

This is a really addictive game haha! Well done! I noticed the jumping felt a bit off, but other than that it is a fun game! Both music styles fit well haha!

I really liked the Game, especially the camera work! Good Job! I do have to say tho that the game is a bit hard, maybe give the player more eggs or make it a permanent respawn, but still good job!

Everything is just so good from design and art to sound design, man congrats I had a ton of fun !

The game over screen got me such a laugh, that's genious !

I really have nothing much to say, the controller is very precise, the animations are very well done, really really fun experience, would recommend.

The idea of the game is very cool and orgininal ! The online version of the game was a bit laggy, so it's hard to really appreciate it though. The concept of the egg is very interesting, but the implementation could be better (not enough eggs, and you don't really know if this is a good location to put an egg).

Thanks! I'll probably add a level % indicator to the hud after the Jam's rating process is over. I personally don't experience any lag when playing in the browser🤔, might be something related to your computer or the browser that you're using.

Nice game, the respawn setting works well. Would like there to be a way to get more eggs. I feel like I'm going to have to space them out a bit to get through the level. Great Job!

I liked the idea, graphics and the music. For me it was a bit too difficult, but okay I am just bad at this kind of platformers. Overall a good and well made little jam game. Well done.

This is great! The pixel art is really cool! The re-spawning egg idea fits the theme well and is an interesting saving mechanic. The movement speed is just right to make the platforms tricky but not impossible. Then I like the roast chicken death and zoom in at the start. I did see some tile-splitting as I started to move up screen, but in general seems like a solid game, I'll add it to my collection. Thanks!

Thanks! :) I'll have to look into the tile-splitting issue when the Jam's rating process is over, I don't have this issue when playing on my primary computer but I've experienced it on other computers.

Cool design and a nice game! I enjoyed the Jack Stauber music when you die. As a little request though it'd be nice to be able to skip the waiting time for the respawn button. I found it a little tiring to have to wait for the song to finish each time I died. Aside from that great game and a cool concept :D

Lolll I love the twist! Very simple but fun game. The level design was def well thought and once I figured out the tricks to getting past the farmers it felt good to hold on to my eggs a bit longer. One piece of feedback would be to consider adding some variable jump height to give the player a little more control. Overall great submission!

I loved the twist. I got to the end of the cave and was like, ooh, maybe I will be able to get my eggs back. Lol no, lets change the game from hunted to hunter. Very nicely done.

oh man I loved the mood of this game (and how that mood changed once you get the gun!). I love the way you handled the theme, giving control to the player as to where a limited number of respawn points is such an awesome concept. I always hesitated to put an egg down or just jump one more cliff / pass one more obstable - sometimes those decisions ended up at KFC, other times they really paid off. Lovely entry, awesome job!

My game was sort of my beginner project, I'm very new to using Unity and game dev in general. I had more ideas planned but had to scrap them because they were not feasible for me to achieve within the timeframe.
