How does your game fit the theme?
You have to collect as many orbs in the level as you can. When you die in-game (the end,) you respawn and lose 30% of the orbs you collected (the new beginning.)

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I used ChatGPT to help me with the player controller and the timer. But other than that, i wrote everything else on my own, along with all of the art and animations. I also got the music from Royalty Free Planet on YouTube.

Oh yea, I also asked ChatGPT for the title :)

Yooo the atmosphere is so good! You nailed it with the graphics and sound, they're really well put together :)

Thanks! :D

WOAH! Did you actually make this game in a week? This is so cool! Add a bit more variety and this game would be complete.

Good game.

The "Game Over" UI was glitched to the bottom of my screen the whole time.

Developer

Oh shoot

Yea, the UI scaling is broken on lower/higher resoulutions due to the different animations i made for it, so it works best at 1920×1080, sorry

Are you able to play it at that res?

Submitted

I was able.

I have 2 monitors. One 2k and the other FullHD. I just played it on the 2nd monitor.

Loved the music, cool art, the game was really fun to play, if you would like to updated, i would add power ups or different types of enemies to make it more interesting, really good overall, congrats and keep it up!!!!!!!!!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks a ton! :D

and as i said in some other responses, i was originally gonna add a lot more features like power-ups and different weapons, but due to the amount of time I had, i had to simplify the game loop a lot :/

15 Orbs and 6 deaths. Did get up to over 20 Orbs, but then had a big dying spree :P.
Love the Graphics, the whole look, feel and sound of the game was a lot of fun.
Few minor bugs/issues,.. could do with the enemies resetting upon death, respawning on top of 10 enemies and dying instantly wasn't great :P.
For a Jam game, this was perfect length, and a lot of fun.
Great job :)

I had fun playing the game, my score was 35 x 4.

The resolution was kinda weird in the web build but I was able to manage.

Love the DJ, it's a fun location for the game. My score was 27 x 6. I think even when the player dies they can still fire, I heard the death SFX while the screen was black so even in death I was kicking butt. Great work! Keep it up!
