I beat the 3 bosses.
The game works pretty well, it controls well, the bullet patterns are good and difficulty on point, and it's really satisfying to manage to throw a big wave a bullet onto the boss' face.
The developpment process is interesting and was probably fun.
Cool game, thanks for sharing.
Surprised this doesn't have a lot fo ratings. Very nice audio and graphics, just wish the mouse was a bit slower.
Really interesting game and very fun method of development. Given the story of the code base it would be really great to have a link to the source code provided?
Special effects and audio gave everything a really nice feeling.
Nice entry!
Really cool graphics and an amazing gameplay idea! The theme could have been implemented better, but the game looks really great. The gameplay is interesting, but I think it lacks a better difficulty curve. Great job!
Game is visually stunning with great polish but the control method was not really jiving with me as i found it kind of hard to get lined up in a lot of situations because of either sensitivity or bullet vertical bullet streams. Looks awesome though. Nice work!
lots of fun, loved reading about your dev process and think you guys did an excellent job taking the limited theme and applying it to development rather than the game, and the game still turned out great!!
Pretty cool game, especially for the visuals. It controls well too and the bullet hell stuff is amazing. The parry thing is cool too, but I couldn't get the bullets to go where I wanted them to most of the time which ment re-trying was a little annoying. That aside, great game :)
I have to admit i was not able to beat most of this because I'm using a trackpad, and will come back to it later once I can use the PC, but here's my thoughts:
Mouse sensitivity felt very high(because i was using a trackpad), and it felt incredibly hard to aim because I was unsure what was happening, but again, probably trackpad moment. The visuals were hands-down the best i've seen this jam so far, and the audio was incredible as well. Very juiced up game as well, and it has tons of polish, but a very big flaw which I will get to later. I don't think it implements the theme particularly well, but that's more optional anyways. And as for the big flaw?
There isn't a weasel, 1/10
While this game is quite pretty on the surface, gameplay-wise the mouse movement felt way too sensitive (especially on WebGL, desktop less so), and aiming parries felt very strange to the point where I basically selected every boss by accident. Oddly enough, during the actual boss fights it felt like my parries were aimed at the boss every time.
I'm a fan of this! I like using the mouse to move the character. My feedback is that in the WebGL build my mouse was constant moving to the right which made it really difficult to play. I didn't experience this in the downloaded version though
