nice presentation with the juicy VFX and visuals!
Movement and procedural animations are crazy good! Great job :)
Must be one of the coolest entries in the jam, well done! Not that I got particularly good at it, but loved the bouncy feel and the speed of things. To be honest, I rarely caugght anything, and avoiding the star fishes was more bu co-incidence. But I till liked it! Well done!
Hello! ๐
Overall: โจ Overall, that was a fun game. Great job on the submission!
Fun: ๐ The game was enjoyable, but whenever I got to around 50,000 score, the arena would fill with an extreme amount of projectiles, leaving nowhere to run, which made it impossible to progress further for me.
Visual: ๐จ Loved the sea creatures and the playable character with its elastic movement. The environment visuals were minimalistic but didn't detract from the experience.
Audio: ๐ถ The audio was a bit basic, but it did the job and complemented the gameplay.
Theme: ๐ I did not see the theme of "consequences" implemented.
Other feedback: Neat implementation of the squid losing its tentacles when taking damage. We went with a similar setting, but the squids were the enemies in our game.
Great job overall and great submission! ๐
Really neat way to depict health
My best score was 616927 although I'm not completely sure how I managed to do that much that one time, probably catched several enemies at once.
This game is frantic. The art is nice and the materialization of your life is great, I love it. The movement is super cool too, especially bouncing into a wall. I can't say I feel like I've got much control over what I'm doing but I'm having fun playing it anyway because it's so smooth and feels good.
That's a cool entry, thanks for sharing.
Love the smooth movement! Nicely done!
Very impressive game for being made in your own engine!
The fact that you coded all of this outside of an engine just makes it even more impressive. The squid movement and damage effects are beautiful. Very neat concept, quite fun. I wish there was an ability to block/destroy starfish for a short period. Great job!
The movement just looks... wow! Generally a very cool looking game.
