Good game I enjoyed it main thing I noticed is feedback of hitting enemys and a way to gauge health or damage adding something here would have added a bit. I made the mistake of thinking bigger enemies wouldn't mean bigger enemy bullets - my mistake lol. Oh yeah and great job with the itch page one day I need to master that too adds a lot to the presentation of your game.
261.9k is as far as i got on the normal mode, pretty cool , the dash is very satisfying
I made the enemies enormous and with the triple shot they got utterly massacred
PRAISE THE GRID!
Fun smooth good time. Sweet scifi dubstep tunez too!
Tried to post my winning screenshot but itch is not having it. Cheers tho!
This was a really fun game!! I appreciated the difficulty level - no, it's not the hardest thing in the world, but i don't want to just constantly die on repeat and not get to see a games content, so really nice job there in my opinion. There were a few small bugs, such as the dash effect going off without moving me if i was standing still, some enemies looking like they are appearing outside of the grid. Nothing too big though. I think some damage labels, flashing enemy sprites, and/or collision particles in addition to the death particles would make shooting things have more oomph. Overall great submission!
I loved all the small paticle efects and the art was good even if it was simple. The movment was smoth and I realy enjoyed the dash. The one problem i had was that it felt a bit slow in the beginning but it realy picked up the speed round 4. Also one thing you need to do with this kind of power up system is to stop powerups from being negated by downgrades for example + damage but + enemy health. But its a good game overall, good job.
Pretty good stuff; the controls and movement feel tight. I got to the end and blew the boss up almost instantly as I am a unique gamer such that I only pick upgrades that directly affect my damage and nothing else. One critique is I feel like the game starts a little slow, but then quickly picks up about the time you get your usable power (which seemed to bug out and not work sometimes).
Great job! Nice gameplay, love retro looking game theme
congrats on finishing the jam! laser enemies were really cool! it was a bit frustrating as i wasn't sure if i was hitting the enemies or not as the bullets were so slow and there wasn't any indication of hitting. cool that you got upgrades in!
The Gameplay loop was really fun, even though it was easy. Making enemies bigger was a good strategy since it was harder to aim at smaller sprites. The music was fitting as well. Good job! :)
