Thanks for playing :)

Loved the art style! I wish that you could go a bit slower because I have a brain that melts easely. It was also a bit unclear to me that you could go into the spikes but you get hurt. But i wishto see moreif this kind of art in the future.

Good job!

Really well crafted game! 5/5

The bouncing bullets added a lot of fun without being to hard to dodge and the choices felt nice over all.

The only feedback I can think of is to make the effect of the choices more obvious (e.g. increasing damage migh change the color and or size of the bullet in some way), even though I understand that it might be hard to automate unless you set a maximum powerups of a given type.

Great job!

I realy loved the art and the music was good. I also loved the downside that made enemies explode bullets. I wish that you had something like a dash but thats just me.

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, improving aim and shooting patterns are definitely on top of the feature list for upcoming releases :)

Indeed, it occurred to us as well which is why playing a lot of the other games has been great for thinking of alternative ways of designing the levels and enemies :)

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and the great advice!

As with many things we ran out of time for balancing properly, but I really like your suggestions and will add them to the balancing work sheet :)

I would call this the hiden gem of the jam. I can't multitask and this was still oneof my favorite games. I don't realy like that you can't kill all the enemies but i still think that this is a hell that even my mother would like.

Really sweet retro arcade game!

It felt like a mix between mega man, classic space shooters and quirky Amiga 500 games while still being its own thing. Nicely done!

Only thing I'm wondering about is whether theft actually has any (negative) consequences :)

I love the idea of you being your bigest threat but it was a bit unclear that they hurt you to (it could be me thats bad at reading descriptions). Thebullets fells good and it makes me whant to just steal the idea.

Well done!

I realy liked the dash but it was a bit op to have no coldown.

I realy enjoyed the efect on the enemies with them swaying.

Good job!

Great combination of audio and visuals, they fit relly well together.

I really liked the mechanic of using enemy shots to charge-up your gun. Very satisfying :)

The game was hard (or maybe I just didn't grasp how to use the controls properly, even after reading on the game page) but fun.

Good job

Great voice lines, they realy aded to the atmosphere. The idea of exploding enemies is also realy fun and I just wish that there where more.

I realy liked  that your projectiles got centerd when you whent slow and the movment felt good and the enemies fellt engaging, keep up the good work!

I realy enjoyed the art and the movment was realy smoth. It did take me a moment to relize the consequens because im a gun blazing maniac. Great work and I hope to see more of this kind of art in the games im going to play.

I absolutely love the pick your poison kind of gamesand the visuals in this was amazing!

The aracnids was the hardest by far and the beamers was both the easiest and the most gofy enemy.

I would love to see more of this art style because it made hell mosters gofy and i loved it.

In most Jams its OK to upload a new build with bug fixes after deadline, and since it's not playable in its current form it wouldn't hurt :)

Looking forward to test the game you made

Definitely ambitious to implement two types of bullet hells in the same game :)

Fun twist at the end, but I would have liked a more clear connection between the questions and the "answers". Since the counters only indicated how many yes/no I provided, it was not clear to which questions I gave each answer.

Overall a fun take on the theme, good job!

Love the idea of implementing story into your bullet hell. I wish I could say more but im just gona need to wait and see how this game turns out if you keep working on it (I belive that its worth).

Visually very appealing and the "eating" animation was both cute and funny :)

Great music that fit well to the theme.

It would have been nice with some more immediate feedback when you eat enemies and pick up eggs. Since I was so focused on the gameplay it took me a while to realise that there where counters that increased at the top of the screen.

Apart from that, a really enjoyable game. Well done!

One of my favorite bosses so far, the returning of bullets was also fun and extremly adictive to get the bigest pile as posible.

Great concept and visually well put together.

All the "weapons" and power ups felt decently related to the theme in a fun and quirky way.

It felt like a solid game with a complete flow from start to finish.

Well done

I loved the enemy art and who dosen't love a hampter. I did find a bug in the fact that bullets don't despawn when you press play again and you can't wait it out because the enemys don't stop shoting even if you die.

Nice start to your game :)

The glowing orb effect on the bullets looked really pretty and went well with the overall aesthetics of the game.

It felt like I didn't take any damage and didn't have to kill anything in order to finish the game (I guess thats due to you running out of time) but it still gave a pretty good feeling of what this might become.

A for effort and good luck with the continued development.

This is by far one of the best games of the jam and i absolutely loved the twist of making danger by destroying enemies. The diving was also a fix to the most annoying part of bullet hell's in my oppinion with imposible situation. Great game and with great art, well done!

What an unforgiving (but fun) game XD

Really nice graphical style, showcasing that you don't need fancy assets to make a game look good :)

The story telling aspect was relly nice as well. I enjoyed the way you present ths changes as if the game itself is talking to the player.

Great job!

Loved the 8-bit clasical music it realy made me laugh when i first heard it but it felt kind of nostalgic in a weird way. The gameplay was good and the fights where hard but fair. I only wish that you could atack behind in the sun boss but as far as i could find there where no other problems.

Nice hell scape. Felt like a pre-Doom "retro Doom" if that makes sense :)

But wow, those controlls where wonky and hard XD

Seems like you do not destroy the bullet instances fast enough, because the game starts lagging pretty hard after a while.

If you fix those two issues (lag and controls) I think you have a pretty solid game on your hands :)

Good job

Nice with a reverse bullet hell :)

It felt like a solid base for a game, but not much happened. It felt like I could have survived indefinately as long as I pressed either right or left arrow.

I would also have liked to see some score, "kill count" or some such to keep me interested.

But as I said, a solid start. Keep at it and I'll gladly try it out again in the future.

I realy liked the bullet paterns. I am a weird gamer tho thats bad at dogeing using doge mechanics because I alway doge into a nother bullet so I feel that I could have enjoyed it more if i where beter.

Pretty colors and great use of cat related themes such as toys, fishes, birds etc.

You clearly have a nack for creating visually interesting games.

Feedback:

  • I like the use of the Consequences theme, but I had a hard time understanding the actual implication since it was hard enough on its own XD
  • Related to that I found it a bit tricky to realise what what dangerous and what was not since there was so much going on at the same time and things changed color all around. I think I would have enjoyed it more if there was a clearer visual distinction between good and bad things coming at me :)
  • The game seemed to lag at times (I assumee because of the gazzilion things flying around)

I loved all the small paticle efects and the art was good even if it was simple. The movment was smoth and I realy enjoyed the dash. The one problem i had was that it felt a bit slow in the beginning but it realy picked up the speed round 4. Also one thing you need to do with this kind of power up system is to stop powerups from being negated by downgrades for example + damage but + enemy health. But its a good game overall, good job.

Fun concept and a solid implementation.

Comments:

  • A bit slow for my taste, I would have preferred faster character movement or perhaps a dash mechanic
  • it would have been nice with more feedback when you hit an enemy, I'm still not sure if all enemy types could be killed :)
  • since the spikes where so thin it was a bit hard to see which direction they where flying at times.

Good job though!

Realy good art! I stoped after I got a score o 109 but i think that i could have goten more if i was more carefull. The bigest problem i had was the things following you blocking bullets because you can hide in a corner colecting coins when they com without ever being in danger. I also think that the heart was to generous even if it looked prety. But there is not much more i can say other than great work!

Loved the mosters and the combat was intresting!

I found a bug tho that made me keep the upgrades when i pressed play again. I aslo wish that there was a bar that showed the sword recharge time. But great ideas overall!

I really enjoyed the cute sounds my character made and ghe music was really soothing. It was also quite nice that everything was so small on screen, it definitely added to the theme of cells/viruses etc within a body.

It would have been nice with some kind of tutorial though (in the itch description would have been totally fine) because it took me a while to figure out the controlls and I didn't really know what I was expected to do in order to complete the levels.

But overall an enjoyable experience :)

I always love me some spaceship bullet hell.

One thing I have noticed tho is that you can't look to much att the enemy in these types of games. I loved the fight but having him a bit lover or making him biger would make it posible to look att where hes at.

Cute game with a nice main mechanic (drinking the planet juices).

I really enjoyed playing a game where I can't fail, just succeed less well :)

I can definitely see this expand into a bigger game, it somehow reminds me och Katamari Damacy.

Great job!

Amazing idea!

The atomsphere was amazing and the gamplay was very unique. I had a bit of a problem with the bullets being a bit unclear and I would have liked an inicator of where they where. And I would love to see more enemies to get that bullet hell feeling. But its overall a great game and I hope you explore this idea more.
