Well done, Awesome idea!
I found it to be rather easy, but the gameplay loop was fun! :)

These icons are really awesome, I love the pixel design. I'm going to use it for my upcoming shmup. I wish the controller silhouettes were a part of the pack, but that's alright. Thanks a lot :)

Aesthetically pleasing visuals, soothing music, tight controls, and overall solid gameplay, this is the recipe for a good game, well done :)

Awesome patterns, really enjoyed the bouncing sinewave type patterns and the clear distinction between the upper layer and lower layer shots. Well done :)

That was a fun experience, the stonks meme made me chuckle, very unique idea. Good work!

This was so dumb, I love it, lol. Feels a bit undercooked, but the charm and general direction was realized. Good work :)

Well, that was really fun and different. I enjoyed the difficulty progression and those skeletons that just drop from the sky made me chuckle at just how absurd it was. Good game :)

Awesome concept for a game, It was nice adjusting the difficulty for each score. Well done :)

fantastic shoot em up, feels really fun to play, the bosses are really well done too! I love it!

(1 edit)

Excellent game, good use of colors and visuals. I wish there was a way to speed up the ship, but that's just a minor nitpick for an awesome entry, good job :)

Awesome game dude! Good visuals and gameplay :)

Great game in both visuals and gameplay. The music is incredible! :D

Excellent Shmup, beautiful visuals, and superb use of bullet patterns and colors. The gameplay feels smooth as butter too. 10/10

Dude, this is badass. I love the teleportation aspect, this game is really well-made from top to bottom. 10/10

I like the concept of the game. How come the game continues past stage 6? And the bullet clearing button doesn't seem to work for me :/

The Gameplay loop was really fun, even though it was easy. Making enemies bigger was a good strategy since it was harder to aim at smaller sprites. The music was fitting as well. Good job! :)

The style was cool along with the atmosphere. But the platforming ruined the experience for me unfortunately, it is hard to explain, I feel like sometimes the character doesn't double jump because the window of time for input might be too short. So while the platforming was rough, I think the boss design and combat were fun. Would love to see this game being worked on post-Jam, good job!

Pretty fun! Cool graphics, I liked the feel of the weapons, they felt impactful. Wished there was more variation, but overall, a great concept.

Great style, makes me reminisce of a simple time when I used to browse flash games. The gameplay was fun, I didn't expect a Rhythm-based SHMUP which was a pleasant surprise. The soundtrack was fire! Good job :D

Very interesting concept. Did not expect a Rhythm SHMUP. Dope music by the way! This was cool, haha.

Amazingly designed bosses and patterns, just the overall look of the game is great and the music is nice too. My only criticism is that some of the sound effects are a bit too loud compared to everything else. Good job on the game :)

Too bad there is no gameplay, but the visuals are good and the soundtrack is a banger! I hope to see this game become fully realized some day :)

Great visuals, lovely crunchy sound effects followed by an amazing soundtrack. The gameplay was really fun and the bullet hell aspect was challenging, I appreciate that you decided to let the player restart from the current boss rather than having you start back at the beginning. Good work :D

This game reminded me a lot of Hyperlight Drifter, the art direction is spectacular with the use of pixel art, and that was the first thing that captured my attention when I booted up the game. I have a few points I'd like to make:

The game felt way too easy, and the first boss music was a bit too short. That's all I can think of really, you've got an amazing project and I hope that it becomes a full-length experience because I'm a sucker for this kind of atmosphere, Bravo!

Charming, funny, and a great idea for a game, I like the overall style, however, the lack of indication of me doing damage to the boss made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. I do think this game has potential, good job!

Realm Shift is quite fun to play, the soundtracks alongside the simple aesthetics work well here, If this is your first Jam, you should be proud of what you've managed to cook up here, it's impressive. The only thing I had a hard time with way the ship was controlled, felt like I couldn't turn away which made a lot of engagements mandatory and unavoidable, Other than this was nice, good job :)

This was fun and very cute, though I wish that the boss would have changed up the attack patterns! The music was funky and fit to the theme. Good work :)

First of I'd like to say that I loved the style of this game, it has this grim mood going for it where textures seem to be slightly desaturated making it feel atmospheric. The soundtrack is cool, somewhat resembles something I would hear in Samurai Jack of all things, not sure if that's an inspiration but it is a nice vibe.

Now as for gameplay, I found the gameplay to be on the easy side, things functioned as they should, though I think the feedback on damage seemed a bit hard to tell, especially with the boar boss whenever he rams into you. A working strategy was to circle the bosses with staff. On the second time the boar appeared, I equipped a rune-looking sword that let me spin to win, however, this weapon was so powerful that it broke the boar's A.I. so it just stood there and accepted defeat.

Overall I had a very good experience with this game, the fox character looks awesome, so I'm just going to leave you with this image and say congratulations, you've done an awesome game :)

Freaky design, made me startled, I wasn't expecting the game to be so cool, and the assets are very creative, I'm sad that there isn't much sound in the game, feels a bit lifeless, but from what I played, this was a cool idea that I would love to see become a bigger project down the line. Well done!

Completed the game, the gameplay loop was very coherent and the controls were tight, I liked the alien-dinosaur design and how it got more patterns while the health kept dropping down, the upgrades helped speed up the way of getting it's HP down as I had no idea those sacks healed it, haha.. My only two criticism is that some of the sound mixing when getting hit and the rumbling sound which I assume is coming from the boss are a bit loud and muddy the funky soundtrack in the background, And that I wish there was more, but I understand if there wasn't time to make another one in time.  All in all, you did a great job, you understood the task and delivered a short, but fun experience :)

The concept is well made and the controls are responsive, the only issue is that the point system doesn't seem to work, it gets stuck on screen, so I can't level up the character, otherwise it's well thought out idea for game, good job :)

I don't know if it was just a stamina thing but it felt like the controls stopped letting me move upwards, or was it designed that you lose momentum when you get hit by projectiles? It stopped letting me move upwards :/

The aesthetics and music are the biggest strengths of this game, It kind of reminded me of Chakan: The Forever Man (Odd comparison, I know) with that said, I think the movement speed and camera work against the player, also I don't know if it's a bug or not, but sometimes when the first boss breathes fire, he instantly continuously damages you as if there were no recovery frames, that's what mostly, unfortunately, killed it for me, otherwise this is a cool idea for a game, I'm a fan of gothic horror-themed games of this nature. Good job!

Wow, this was a pleasant surprise, I thought to myself (Oh look, another SHMUP) This is a very unique game, I loved the pixel art style and use of colors here. The game itself has this strategy element that was so refreshing and fun, it took a bit to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast! Lastly, the music, oh my lord, the music is top-notch and fits the general style, the soundtrack just fits like a glove. Amazing work, you should be proud! :D

This was quite fun, reminds me of some old Flash game I used to play on Newgrounds (in a good way) The controls were tight and very responsive, and the mouse-clicking aspect gave me some severe flashbacks though, lol. Conceptually this is a well-designed game even if the visuals are on the basic side. Good work :)

As someone who enjoys SHMUPS, I felt like this was very professionally done, in both the use of colors, style, and good bullet patterns, the soundtrack was nice too..  Good work :D

Awesome game, very thematic and graphically minimalistic. The soundtrack felt very fitting as well as it seemed to be choppy or glitchy which worked well here. Took a bit to get accustomed to the mechanics, but I had fun :)

The pixel art in this game is just truly adorable and the bosses look good too, though I think the bosses are a bit too tanky.

There's an interesting foundation here for sure, the gameplay loop seems comprehensible despite the controls and the bullets that come at you occasionally vanish. I appreciate the thought put into this game and the music is cool! Keep it up dude! :)
