Nice submission! I enjoyed playing through even though it may have taken me a little longer to beat the second level than I would have liked haha. Thanks for not resetting the whole game upon death, and just the level, that's good game design in my opinion and I've played a number of games in the jam that don't have that feature. Really liked the shooting animation and particle effects. Some small areas I thought could use some polish would be: 

  • Spawn the player in a safe position, so that when they respawn they aren't immediately bombarded and lose hp again, 
  • Randomize the audio every time it's played - something I've seen other people do is instead of like `audio.play()` they do `audio.pitch = random_value; audio.play()`
  • maybe have a way for the player to see the level layout and enemy locations without risking their life - I was trying to snipe some guys from off screen, but wasn't sure where to aim, so I had to run in there to scope it out and try again next life. 

That gets me wondering how many people tried to stay far away and snipe from off screen though, which might be another thing to try to fix in the design. Anyway those are just my opinions - I really enjoyed the game, congrats on the submission!!

Respawning in a safe position and limiting the range of the enemies would make it much more playable.

I could never have thought of your tip about changing the pitch of the audio every time its played.

Something with the shooting feels a little off. Its pretty hard to hit enemys. Otherwise good job!

It's not too bad, but for the stages I found it way easier to run to the exit rather than to shoot.
I also think the firing sound is a bit too loud

The game is very hard and not in a fair way.

Especially the second stage enemies, their attacks are kind of undodgeable. I've beaten the game only because of rushing into exits.

The graphics on the other hand, are pretty cool and nice, as well as visual effects.

Sorry for harsh opinion but that's what I've thought about this. Good job! :D

I realy enjoyed the game. But I had some problems with player bullets feeling a bit small and it was hard finding the enemies with the hoaming bullets.

Yeah I did felt that too.

Couldn't make the time for it. I knew I was late for the jam when I started. But wanted to put something out there.

The game is nice but as soon I spawn, the enemy starts attacking which makes the game hard and most of the time I can pass through the enemy by dodging the bullet or by sticking to walls.
