What a great game, everything about it is so polished.  I'll definitely come back to this and play some more.

I loved the asymmetry in the objectives and the fact that I was basically competing against myself! It's a great change in games where you're controlling two characters simultaneously, and made me want to play again and again!

Incredibly creative take on the theme. Felt good to play and the art was nice.
I liked it a lot

Really enjoyed the ambience in this game great work!

Very cool concept! Having two different objectives at the same time is such a nice idea! I really like the sprite design.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing :) Very glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Wow I really love this idea. There's a lot of multi-screen-control-both games out there, but I've never seen it where you have to fail with one and succeed with the other. Very very cool! Good job :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and the kind words :) We're so happy to hear you enjoyed it!

this one was super fun, very simple but a really strong concept

i managed a score of 2350, i did however encounter a bug/exploit that i think could give you an infinite score
i ripped a chandelier down with the shadow, then the chandelier dragged in front of the shadow continually, when they hit a tv the chandelier kept the shadow from touching the tv so it got stuck, if i hadn't jumped i think the shadow would have stayed there

good job on this one

Developer(+1)

Oh goodness thank you for pointing that out! Originally the chandelier and its links would break and we changed it relatively last minute but accidently forgot to remove the breaking of  the links. We'll fix that shortly thank you so much for pointing that out!

With that said thank you for playing and the kind words! :)

Man, at first I thought there is zero chance th shadow will ever catch me, and then yeah. Speeds up pretty fast and it is like DAMN.

The visuals definitely look great and the monster / Shadow that appears in the window is an awesome touch.  Plus pretty cool game over screen.

I couldnt quite tell but are both the player and the shadow running past the same set of objects or are they randomised until the shadow keeps up?

Bit of scaryish music on top would have been nice I reckon.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'll be honest when we first tested the game I had a similar thought but it really does pick up at a certain point!

As for your question, they're running passed the same objects! You can see things you ran into appear as rubble on the Shadow's screen as you run. We agree on the music front! Unfortunately didn't have time for the jam, since most of our sounds were made in-house so I just decided to go hard on the subtle ambience. We'll absolutely consider that for the future.

Thank you so much for playing and for the great feedback :)

Amazing visuals, but very hard to pay attention to both sides at the same time, would have also been nice to see how close I was to being caught.

Solid game though, very well done.

Developer

Thank you so much! We're currently discussing ways to indicate that the monster is close without impacting the feel of the game, so thank you for that feedback! It has been noted!

Thank you for the kind words and for playing :)

I got 2020 points.

I really loved the design of "hitting an obstacle is doubly bad because it's one fewer thing to slow down your pursuer." That just works perfectly with the dire theme for your game. And the creepy window figures are a great touch. The ramp up to a game over was a bit drawn out, but those last few moments of crashing into something then seeing the rubble pass by the shadow a moment later was peak horror film "clumsy victim" trope. Excellent. Chef's kiss.

A bit more tuning on the individual run feel and this could easily be a nice little mobile game gem. Well done on making this in just a few days!

Developer

That's great to hear!!

We will definitely be tuning the sets for difficulty (and for glitches) for future builds. Thank you so much for the kind words and great feedback. :) Very appreciated!

The game is good, the windows that show the outside is a good detail, the concept that you control the one who chases you is good, it just needs a little more difficulty

Developer

Thank you so much for playing :) Duely noted on the difficulty for the next build! Thank you for the feedback!

Very cool!! I got 2390. I really liked the windows and creatures beyond, as well as the implied windows on the other side of the hall.
