While the idea is (as you mention) very silly, I really enjoyed playing this game. It's so tense when you try to turn just the right amount to shoot multiple enemies and struggle to type the command in time. Over time, I did get better at estimating the angles, though

Thank you for your thoughts and kind words! We're glad you experienced just the ambiance we were going for with the game :) The diamonds indeed just take you to the next level, there isn't much more to it.

Thanks for the compliments! We will definitely try our luck again, 3 hour gamejams are a really enjoyable format!

I will, thank you!

Yeah a mini tutorial would have been nice, I agree! Glad you liked it!

yeah going offscreen was just a bit confusing. Maybe skip the moving camera alltogether, and make a sequence of levels instead?

Thanks! Yeah we love to use just plain javascript without any libraries, it makes things very lightweight, and is very educational :)

Wauwww the artwork is production ready! just a liiiiitle bit of polish on the controls, some audio, but holy shit it looks great!

Very fun! Kind of forces your eyes to stare through the screen to keep track of both, interesting sensation! But yeah some sort of checkpoints and smoother camera movement would have been nice ^^'

Enjoyable game! Like the other person here said, it was sometimes not very clear what each item did, but for a game made in just a weekend, that kind of polish cannot always be applied. Overall nice entry!

Very cool concept! Having two different objectives at the same time is such a nice idea! I really like the sprite design.

Haha That's the beautiful thing about game jams, with some more time you can always add some more polish or features, but in the end you need to make choices to finish in time ;)

Thank you for playing! The herons don't mess around ;)

Nice job! Thank you for playing! We've since been working on a camera that should be a bit less nauseating, which we'll likely add after the rating period is finished :p

Such a cool and enjoyable game! It feels very finished and has such good puzzle design! One thing I'd remark is that memorizing where the platforms are when you switch is cool, but it's difficult to eyeball the positions: Maybe adding some detail (not neccessarily a full grid, just some pipes or panels) can help the player to memorize where the platforms are.

That's just nitpicking, though, and for a weekend this is a very nice and finished game!

Thanks for trying it out. We hope to fix the issues with some browsers/OSs some time soon

Fun little game, and as long as you learned new things making it your games will get better and better!

Very cool game, and very well polished for a single weekend! The atmosphere and music are really compelling, and the puzzle design is great!

I love the art style! Also a very creative idea.

Sometimes the camera felt like it wasn't following properly, so you could barely see the cats coming into view.

Overal a nice job!

Very cool atmosphere with the art style/soundtrack! As others have mentioned, the map is relatively small and zoomed in quite a bit, but these are things that are easy to tweak.

Nice game overall!

EDIT: You can actually already zoom out the map with the buttons, didn't realise that haha

Glad you liked the game despite there being no flying ducks!

We considered adding an explanation to avoid land, but in the end we figured it wouldn't take too long to figure out yourself :p

Glad you like it! Since the maps are randomly generated, it may also just be that the ducks spawned in unfortunate locations for you ;)

The submitted version unfortunately has no option to go full screen, so it makes sense you couldn't figure it out

Hi! We noticed this happening on some browsers. Most versions of Google Chrome and MS Edge should work, if Chrome doesn't you can try to start it in Edge (It has something to do with how we add vertices to the buffers with WebGL, we're aware but didn't get to fixing it during the jam)

Couldnt get past lvl 3 :) Great spritework guys! and a very creative interpretation of the theme. Cheers!

I'm glad you like it! The song is Satie- Gymnopédie No. 1, but I think it's used online quite often :p

On the one hand I agree that making the ducklings stand out more would help (I think they sometimes spawn inside rocks and things like that), but finding them, to some extent, is of course also part of the challenge. We might get back to the game and make some improvements after the rating period has ended.

Thank you for your feedback :)

Hard but fun game man! Glad to see we weren't the only ones that thought of making a snake game :)

Thank you! Haha yeah, the polar regions where very hard to get right, thanks for sharing your experience :)

Relaxing and surprisingly well polished puzzle game!

The puzzles are well laid out. The game is also very thematic with the use of the aesthetically pleasing pixel art and well suited sound effects. Very well done!

The title of the game is surprisingly descriptive haha.

The game design in and of itself is simple to grasp and yet fun in its execution. The level design could have been a bit more inspired or maybe spiced up by adding some level detail. An even more anxious sounding theme song would perhaps also be a nice addition. But these are just minor polish ideas. A nice game idea and well executed!

Classic shooter! Perhaps putting the camera of the player a bit higher would help with the perception of depth as I was struggling slightly at some places in the map (or add some static objects to the map :) ). You could also add a sound to the spheres that becomes louder as they draw nearer. That way you would not have to rely on the minimap for the player's sense of her surroundings. Nice job!

Cool concept! Nice implementation of the tele control idea. It wasn't exactly clear to me how the shadow moves with respect to yourself and once I got the shadow to stand on the pressure plate I moved through the door, it closed, and I got stuck. With a little more polish and some explanation I think this would be a very nice and fun quirky little game :)

Fun little game, and especially seeing as it's your first jam game, you're off to a great start!

I especially like your 3D models

Nice little game. The game loop can however get a bit repetitive and somewhat frustrating given the hit boxes of the arrays and the anti spam shoot aiming delay. The blobs are also considerately easier than the flying skulls considering their lack of path finding :P. The artwork is fantastic and music is nicely done and thematic. Great job!

Really cool game! The darkness and unsettling sounds (which were, as mentioned, maybe a bit too loud and sharp ;)) did really help set the scene. The horror-like atmosphere was really well conveyed!

The art looks very good, especially the monster sprite, but even the grey walls helped tie the whole enviroment/atmosphere together.

Overall nice job!

Yep, sorry about that! We are aware of it, but didn't have time to resolve the issue during the jam. Glad you enjoyed it!

Very nice to hear! We've been discussing amongst ourselves how we'd scale the difficulty, so I'm glad you enjoy the final result ;)

Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it! We agree the camera movement around the poles is sometimes a bit too sudden.

Damn this game is hard man! Still fun tho :)

Love it! Its the dark souls of Indiana Jones simulators

The art is beautiful! The idea is similar to many games I've seen, but the plant/seed theme is really nice!
