- The papercraft aesthetic is well done and is super charming. I like the core mechanic though I was surprised that the timer still ticks while Sir Frog is airborne. The progression feels great, the different abilities Sir Frogs gets work well with the theme and are add to the gameplay. The introduction storybook and ending art is super polished and looks amazing. I think adding checkpoints once a new ability is gained would have been a nice accessibility change. --- This game was so adorable! I loved the visual style and the music, really impressive work and I feel like I could really feel the soul in it, haha. I'd love to see checkpoints added in the future; as a player it's pretty frustrating to have to start all over again when you die! --- 36/40

Super fun concept and art style! I love the paper look. Very strong look. Control scheme is creative and original. This was way fun! Good job!
Thank you for your kinda remarks! 😊
I love the movement mechanic, it gave the game a really nice rhythm. While the lack of checkpoints made it very unforgiving, I think the artstyle and overall idea of this game is fantastic. Gave me paper mario vibes.
I am glad you loved the movement/rhythm mechanics! We will definitely explore that more in the future :3
This was really cool, the art was very nice and the movement idea was very unique.
Thank you for playing our game! Our artists are definitely OPP 😊
This was really fun! Cool concept for movement!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
I love the presentation! The art the music it all works so well! I also love the nontraditional movement. And it works great with the frog changing color to show you how much time you got. Great work. One thing I would ask for would be checkpoints, at each piece of the music note you get. Other than fantastic work! Keep it up!
Thank you! :D Checkpoints are definitely going to be added ASAP... if only I could go back in time 😞
Easily the best soundtrack. Very fun aesthetic. And good undertone message.
I'm glad you liked the soundtrack and aesthetic! Our artists and composer are godds and worked hard on it :3
This game has so much character, I love it! The art style, the OST, the characters, and the gameplay were all amazing. I think that the game could use a few checkpoints, and that there should be a more notable difference between the Q and E skills rather than Q being superior to E, but these are just nitpicks for an otherwise outstanding game. Nice puns, as well. Wonderful job!
I love that you love it! :3 Your suggestions are spot on, and I will definitely be adding those if we continue to work on the game. Also, I'm glad you appreciated the puns! :D
This is far and away the most charming game I've played this entire jam. So much love and care was put into the aesthetics, and the game has so much heart. The gameplay was also enjoyable, with a unique way of navigation. As some other people mentioned, I think checkpoints would be a great addition (possibly in a post-jam update). Great job with the game.
Awwwwww this is so sweet, thank you T_T and thank you for feedback!! We are planning to (I think right THIS moment from our programmer) make a checkpoint! HAHA, thank you again <3
The concept was really nice and unique. The art and music was great. Love the 2D art at the story intro. The evolved music was really good. One thing I would improve is to add checkpoints. One big thing for me was that the game is pretty slow so having to start all over was pretty frustrating.
I'm glad you enjoyed the concept! Checkpoints are definitely a common theme among the comments, so that will be updated right after the judging is over!
The music evolving with new notes unlocked was really cool, and the song itself was a banger! The art style is amazing as well, the hearts and arrows look ripped right out of Paper Mario, it's wonderful. The projectile enemy's projectile was too hard to avoid considering I had no control of when the frog was jumping and the projectile was at a different rate than the jumps. This made me have to space my frog outside where the projectile despawned and hope my projectile could kill the enemy, and it felt more cheesy than intended. As others have mentioned, respawns where you unlock a new instrument would have been very nice, although the music definitely inspired me to finish the whole game. I would love to play more levels!
I'm glad the musical progression was well received! And as someone who used to play a ton of Paper Mario, the aesthetic was quite the throwback. As for the enemy projectile, I will definitely see how I can change it so it doesn't feel cheesy (there's a whole cheese game for that!) and so it incorporates more unique mechanics to the game
I love the art style and the music had me jamming out the entire time
TRUUUE our composer was a GOD!! Thank you very much ^^
Cute aesthetic and fun, interesting mechanics. Starting from the beginning is a bit harsh especially since it can be slow to get back to where you died.
Thank you for playing our game! I completely agree...checkpoints was a much needed feature for the game :(
Love the art and the music! It is very very pretty and a great aesthetic. I'm not sure if you guys wanted to lean into the rhythm game aspects more, but it would have worked a lot better if you could only input directions on the beat, giving it more of a rhythm than just mashing in order to jump right.
Thank you for the feedback! :DD That is a great idea, and I'll definitely see how I can incorporate more rhythm aspects into the game!
Easily the best graphics I've seen so far! The paper aesthetic looks great! The frog is super cute, and the opening drawings were phenomenal. And the gameplay loop is very fun, I really like it!
Essentially the only complaint I have is the respawn system. If you had less harsh respawns, I would've definitely finished the game. But because you have movement on a timer, you have to replay sections really slowly. I think if you had respawns closer to death locations, this game would be fantastic!
The music had me groovin'. I liked how it grew in complexity. And it gave it a very specific charming aesthetic. I dig.
Absolutely my favorite game I've played so far!
Thank you for your kind remarks! I had completely forgotten about checkpoints, and in hindsight, it would have been a much needed addition to the game (In fact, I just finished making the system, and it'll be updated after the judging is over)!
