I play a lot of Spire and I gotta say that this is quite well executed, although card draws are a little lacking. Having so many 3-cost cards is just hard to do anything. I did get to 4 mana/turn but obviously having so many 2-3 cost cards is playing 1 card per turn even though I skipped the majority of the cards.

This has the potential to be a good game. Good job on the entry.

I have slained the dragon.

I like how you need to balance your deck not to run out of cards in hand while cheap cards are strong. Although not complex I also still like that the dungeon is more than just a long corridor. Movement is fast and feels perfect, the game flows and controls perfectly. Hand showing and hiding is slow but since you can play while it happens it just looks weird but does not really affect the gameplay.

The game is cool, thanks for sharing.

Lovely card mechanic right there! Was quite fun to play around it and I enjoyed picking up new cards. I would love the ability to "edit" deck at the end, but with time limit its quite a tricky task to do.

Loved the music - it was very catchy.

Nice touch with different coloration of places - it so much easier to navigate the dungeon. My lost self apreciated it a lot!

I love your game! The exploration music is top-notch, it sounds the most "dungeon crawler like" of all the music I've heard in this entire jam. The graphics are very beautiful too.

My only complaint is that a lot of the cards I gained seemed actually weaker than than the ones I started with, for instance inflicting 4 damage for 3 mana is worse than 2 damage for 1 mana. Besides that, I had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the variety in environments.

Amazing work!!

This was so much fun to play! I dont really see a duality (other than health/mana management?), but everything else was great, honestly i wanna play more :D

This has been my favourite entry so far! I died against the dragon with 1hp remaining.

I think the general art style works well, it's cohesive, the audio works well. I don't really have any complaints about it.

Wow! What a fantastic entry!

I’m a sucker for card mechanics and you’ve implemented them in an interesting and fun way.

I love the aesthetic of this game. Only real complaint is that the UI doesn’t go full screen or part screen. You have to play it in a weird window in full screen mode.

Great work!

Thank you for your words, I appreciate it. I'll be honest I didn't test the WebGL build very well so I noticed those UI elements a little too late. I enjoyed having your stream in the background as I worked on my game too.

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it.

I beat the game after a close call with the frog left me with 1 HP to spare. Pleasing graphics and satisfying progression. Great work!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing.

Quite good! I love the low res art style and the card based gameplay.

Thank you I appreciate it!

I managed to get up to the frog, where it defeated me quite readily.  Maybe if I had better RNG on the cards..

Developer

Balance was for sure a hard one for this game, I did test it quite a bit but yeah unlucky rng can probably ruin the run.

This is fun and looks great. The cards crawl up painfully slow, but at least you can play cards as soon as combat starts.

Developer

Seems to be tied to the WebGL build so must be an FPS issue, thanks for playing!
