If the camera was more to the right, this would be less tedious.

Thanks for playing! I can't believe I overlooked something so important, many of the comments mentioned something along those lines. Thank you for your feedback.

Your welcome!

The game was alright could become a fun cat-themed Mario Runners game however I don't see how this fits into mutation cool game non the less

Thanks for playing! The idea is that the different stages are different parts of mutation/evolution. The first level is nothingness, then there's bacteria/unintelligent life, and then the final level is intelligent life, e.g. animals and birds. It was a little out there, but whatever...

Seems like fun but it's really difficult and neither of us could get past the second orb! We really enjoyed the music though!

Developer(+2)

Lots of people seem to be having trouble with that orb. I probably should have made some beginner levels, so that you could ease into the game. The music was made by my friend Lightning_A. Thanks for playing!

I agree with pretty much everything the person below me (100th_Coin) said, but I, unfortunately, wasn't able to beat the game. I think it's a pretty nice sorta geometry-dash-like rage game though. The one thing I would add to 100th_Coin's comments is that I think you should be able to hold space to continually jump, as that would be really helpful in some sections.

Overall, Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Not doing the jump like that was a conscious choice, Continual jumping has always bothered me, but it certainly has its strengths.

Hoo boy this game is tough. I beat it (and even tried to clear the you win screen, ha!) but man.

First things first, move the cat the left side of the screen. Part of what made this game so difficult was that the player has such a short amount of time to react to what's ahead of them.

Second, buffer jumps. If the player presses the jump button a few frames before landing, they should still be able to jump on the frame that they land, or else it feels like the game ate the input, which feels awful from the player's perspective.

Third,  make it easier. I'd do this by slowing the player down, or making the platforms on the stairs slightly longer. The point of game development isn't to beat the players. Everyone will have more fun with a game if they can beat it (or make any amount of progress).

Those things aside, I loved the music, and the backgrounds were goofy. It's a nice game, but definitely needs some polish.

Thanks for playing and congratulations on beating it. Also, thank you for the suggestions. They always help.

Great game, I couldn't pass trough the second orb tho

Developer

A lot of people seem like they're having trouble there. Maybe I'll have to go back and fix it.

Pretty fun! I really like the music, but it is quite difficult.

Thanks for playing!

Nice and too hard for me.

Developer

Thanks! I was trying to make it difficult. Do you think it was difficult to the point of tedious? Did the game feel unfair or like something that you could beat with practice?

I can't pass the second orb ! I think that cat should be on the left of screen in order to see what's coming. Perhaps reduce hitbox. Difficulty is not really a problem in it-self, what is difficult for me may not be for others, but the difficulty must be progressive.

Very difficult but fun

Could be easier if the camera was zoomed out

Developer(+1)

Good suggestion, I hadn't even considered that.
