Ambitious entry! Looks and feels great.
Thank you!
I really liked the concept of this game, some things that could have been beneficial is making collisions with traffic be more impactful. a location marker for where to actually deliver the package, and the motorcycle physics could use some adjustments due to feel sluggish/heavy, plus the camera when zooming out should have the player closer to the bottom of the screen to give more real-estate for the player to see more. These critiques are because I see a lot of promise in this project!
Thanks for taking the time to try it out and to give me your feedback, I appreciate it!
Amazing for a jam entry! The collision didn't hinder the momentum or speed, so I had no incentive to drive slow; you should punish the player better for diving recklessly.
but loved the art, the sound, and the gameplay! Congrats!
well, as it is, the players punishment is driving off the end of the road into a bottomless void XD thanks for the feedback!
Why would you put so many lives in my hands, this was genocide. :0
Love the artwork and the music selection. Wish there was a little more of an indicator whenever an exit is coming up, otherwise, you'll easily blow right past them. Also, being able to see the room you're headed to on the mini-map would be great because you're not exactly given any time for hesitation.
I love the scooter, I get to go z o o m. Sometimes a little much z o o m, but z o o m none the less.
Thanks for the comment! Yeah, those are things I wanted to get in but just didn't have enough time during the work week to fit it all 😪
The visuals look really cool for a jam game, I like the sort of comic-y feel and the colors are nice and soft and comfortable. It works well ith the music, too, even if you didn't make that haha.
In the beginning I didn't know that I was supposed to find the room in the hospital after I arrived. I also didn't know what the bar on the left does with the blue and red and which way it moves and what makes it move. I now think it's a timer, and it symbolizes the organs heating up and unfreezing. Perhaps some explanation or an arrow, or even a timer on top of the bar could help!
I think finding the room could be made easier by a bigger minimap, because even once I understood I had to find a room, it felt like flipping a coin which path to go down, because there's usually only enough time to go down one path, and if the room isn't there, you're out of luck. It might be benficial to add some basis for the player to decide where to go. Maybe the names of different hospital wards, and the player has to remember which organ they have, and then guess which ward is most likely to contain their goal room?
Driving fast was fun, but at some point I noticed that I can't do that because missing the exit basically means losing, and the exit can come very unexpectedly. It creates a nice game flow though of first speeding up super hard and then slowing down and waiting for the exit. Maybe you could announce the exit sooner though that the player can have more fun with fast driving and doesn't have to be nervous all the time :D
Yeah even just making the exit lane longer would have helped. I wanted to put in some signs or road markings but just didn't have time. Thanks for giving it a shot and providing your feedback! :D
I like this art
thanks!
Nice work! Little buggy as you know but interesting concept!
Thanks for the feedback!
I think overall you have something here that will be a great game if you continue with it, the art style is great and the driving is good, as well as the audio fits nicely into this game.
I think for the constructive points it's pretty much what you have raised, a couple of bugs here and there, stuff like the reversing/quest marker sometimes not appearing. I think also it would be good to have a consequence for hitting into cars, maybe like increasing the heat on the organ you're transplanting.
Overall it's a fun demo that fits the theme!
I appreciate you taking the time to try it out and let me know what you think! :D
The art style is great, the driving mechanic feels pretty good too.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great submission! The cell shaded visuals are genuinely pleasing and among some of the best in the jam. The driving mechanics feel pretty good. Does traffic increase over runs? Neat if it does.
Getting lost due to the known issues was a bit of a issue, but I won't harp on it.
Thanks for trying it out!
Love the visual style. Everything looks very coherent and I think it really fits the vision you had for the gameplay. It seems like you didn't have enough time for a lot of stuff, but I know you have the skills to make something really cool and I respect that you went for it. Would love to see you explore more with this artstyle.
Thanks for giving it a try! This art style was definitely outside my usual comfort zone but it was fun and easy to work with for a jam game.
The driving mechanic is a lot of fun. I really like the art too! Nice job!
Thank you :D
I am a huge fan of the cell shaded art style! also the music realy ties everything together,i enjoyed the game a fair bit but i encountered a bug where a room i am supposed to deliver to was closed,i don't think i will be able to sleep at night :(
shameful xP yeah I had to submit several hours before the deadline because of work the next day, so no last minute play testing or fixes. thanks for trying it out!
you're welcome!i would love to know what you think of my game if you try it out too, also manisha the host said in the discord server that updates are now allowed(only if they fix bugs) so you still have a chance to fix some of the problems,
yeah I'll give it a go when I'm back to my PC!
Visuals are great! And the game is very original. It was a bit buggy but overall a nice game!
thank you! :D
