Wow! Thank you! <3

Really fun game, wish it increased in difficulty as you can just stay in the red and its super easy

Developer (1 edit)

Yea, agree! I guess increasing mobs spawn speed is just isnt enough :D

If folks will like the game enough maybe we will actually finish it an release somewhere :)

Very very nice game, perfectly fit in the theme. The only point i can make is that i kept the player in the red zone, so that i could spam super fast bullet, and avoided as much as possible the blue one.

The rest of the game was wonderful. I made it to 245.

Thanks mate! <3

Too sad we couldnt fit in the mechanic of a dash that resets your accumulated speed and leaves a permanent stain on the map with this speed that affects mobs and you. :(

Nice idea and graphics. The implementation is a little lame; there is no motivation to move into the red zone other than the speed of the projectiles.

Developer (2 edits)

Yes I agree, With more playtesting I think we would increase the quality of a game feel.

Currently red zone not only increases projectile speed. It affects movement speed, attack speed, regeneration speed and projectiles speed for both for you and enemies.

Maybe we could also affect player accuracy, make him stop/speed up infinitely, maybe make move speed not affected, maybe add a timer that starts damaging you if you spend too much time in one zone (cheap trick).

I feel there are plenty of room for improvement.

Wow, this is indeed innovative! Great job for the team.

It's quite easy if you just stay in blue. I'm not sure if the score from a kill changes depending on the speed you're in, but if it doesn't, maybe reward the player for staying in the red because that's when things get crazy and tough.

Developer

Yea we were stuggling on how to force players to move from zone to zone and keep them from staying in the one all the time.

Probably should have made it so in the blue zone time will eventually stop, and in the red zone time will infinitley speed up (but at 10x and faster you start phasing though walls).

But hey, variability from x0.5 to x5 is pretty player-friendly.

Submitted

Yeah, I agree. Making it player-friendly is a good call I think especially in game jams.

Pretty fun game, I think I would have enjoyed it more with a controller and twin stick controls. Everything really did speed up by staying in the red zone!

Developer

Yea we were thinking about adding that to the PC version. But decided to focus a bit more on polish.

Probably will add it tho.
