Theme (enemy)

1000 pigeons

Correlation to theme
Pigeon may seem harmless, but they will be dangerous once there are a thousand of them."Peckathon Symphony" tries to cover silly (instruments, jazz-ish feels), serious (overall orchestral/epic tone), organic (tribal/blatant bird samplers), and military (they're silly but they're gonna get you for real) energies all at once.

This is a fun enemy encounter! My favorite part is the back and forth between the brass and the strings towards the end—and also the pigeon sounds throughout!

Thank you for your feedback!
I enjoy making the first half of your mentioned section as well,
it's my best attempt to create something spicy.
Still a long way to go! :D

The whole is well orchestrated with a lot of energy for a fight, I like the variations.

Only one part that bothers me a little at 1:54 repeated a second time later... kind of sad melancholy that contrasts with the energy of the fight.

Good work it’s a living music!

Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
Yes, I agree that the current piano section might contradict the overall tone of the song and should better be put somewhere else, like a post-battle theme. I'll find a more suitable ending in the next attempt! :)

Solid entry! The composition is very energetic and diverse, along with being very well executed and having some cool licks, but I think the instrumentation used is holding the song back a bit, mainly the brass ones. Maybe adding some more variety to it or adding a more active bassline could boost the energy of the song without depending on the drums or melodies.

Thank you for your compliments and constructive feedback!
I agree that the music might rely a bit too much on melodies and (especially) percussions.

As you suggested, maybe I should try adding more variety and layers to spice things up.
I appreciate the comment! :)

P.S. I also like your soundtrack. The melody in your music is one of my favorites!

Thank you for your kind words! Coincidentally, your entry is also one of my favorite pigeon soundtracks :D

The pizzicato strings were my favorite part. They made the song feel so alive I feel.

Thank you!
I'm glad you like it :)

Oh, interesting entry! Plenty of varying sections. I really like the melody at 0:24. I love this melody, and I finally know why: the intervals between the notes in this melody are uneven, almost like triplets! Really cool. The occasional pigeon sound ties it all together, and those pizzicato strings also kinda sound birdlike to me, although I am not sure why. I also like the piano-part at 1:56, it gives the whole thing a softer touch; although it almost makes me feel like I should be a bit sad about killing these pigeons. Overall, tThe whole thing sounds like a great battle theme to me!

Thank you for your kind words and detailed feedback! It does mean a lot :)

Making melodies like this has become my (not-so-good) habit since it is one of my favorite patterns.
(it is called "3/4 + 1/2" in some rhythm games, but I am not so sure about the actual musical term) xD

Pizzicato was my top pick for an instrument that provides the feeling that birds are pecking you; I am glad you find it fitting!

You are also right about the piano section. The battle theme is supposed to be engaging and energetic;
I think it might be more suitable to use this section as a post-battle theme, similar to Hollow Knight.  I'm happy to hear you still like it nonetheless.

Once again, I appreciate all your effort in writing this comment. Have a great day! :D
P.S. Love your soundtrack. Such a delightful entry!

Pizzicato + pigeons is a fantastic match! Great composition with a driving rhythm section.

Thank you! Pizzicato was the first instrument that came into my mind when choosing an instrument that gives pecking feels :D
