  • This such a nice and atmospheric game. Loved the music and really loved the visuals. My biggest issues are with some of the aspects of gameplay. I think having a built in tutorial would have been a lot more effective than just having it written below in the description. I also feel like the theme inclusion is a little backwards. I'm supposed to be guiding the Meeps but what ends up happening is you teach one to gather sticks and it'll just walk off into the dark to the nearest one and if you don't stay on it with the torch it'll die. So really, it's guiding you more than you're guiding it. I think being able to set behaviors on them and making it so the player does a little more leading them would be a lot more fun and engaging. I also think some kind of health bar over their heads to show when they're about to die would be a lot better than just having to remember that they have 6 seconds to live in the dark. Overall though, very very solid base, and I really think this could be expanded on into a really cool larger project
  • Cool sound ambience. I like the graphic and the mood in general. I was mostly confused at first, then understood.

Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)

Great job :), I did not know if I was just supposed to find the sticks or interact with the meep to get it but I figured it out it is quite calming I enjoyed it.

Best use of the theme I've seen so far. Nice and relaxing with great art, my one complaint is that it's a little slow to start.
Great entry!

The music and visuals are cute and atmospheric, the atmosphere is very cozy, and I love my Meeps (Though I think Jumbo glitched out and ceased to exist), though the gameplay is lacking. I wish I could get more Meeps and start a Meep camp. Very cute and cozy, one the best I've played, RIP Jumbo.

Just wow, this is such a well done project! And it really does ask the question of guiding. The peaceful music, and the graphics combine into something really nice, and the hunt for wood while trying to make sure your Meeps are safe :D

A bug I did find, was that the Meeps would sometimes get some wood and then… just keep hold of it as if they had dropped it off, and they hadn’t. Odd one.

One of the most beautiful and relaxing games of the JAM. I think it is very well made and works very well. A great job

Very well polished game for a game jam! The way the light works and blends is very satisfying, and the game is incredibly relaxing. Great job!

Very interesting concept. I look forward to expansion upon this project. New Meeps can be found with their fire dying and you lead them to your own camp. There can be tents, sleeping bags, etc. There can be a lamp or a torch to light paths. So many opportunities. There could even be wolves or bears that the Meeps have to craft weapons and walls to defend themselves against. Beautifully put together.

I love the way the mouse and light interact with each other! Great choice of graphics and audio too. Everything fit the theme extremely well. Great job!
