Ok, graphics are nice. I like that you noticed that your character wasn't readable in those backgrounds, so you added the glow. It's impressive that said backgrounds are so detailed.
The jumping animation (if it exists) kinda looks the same as when you're walking. That gives it a low quality feel.
I like that it has an intro. The text boxes repeat themselves and don't pause the game. The timer keeps moving while you're reading.
Music's ok, I don't know. Hearing the loud steps every time you walk is kind of annoying.
Another thing I don't like is the lava that damages the player. It does so without something to show (except the sound) that you're getting hit, and some of those little lava bits are really small to see and most probably unavoidable.
It'd be nice if the game over screen and the winning screen didn't look so similar.
Overall, it was ok. I had higher expectations because of the nice screenshots, but the game isn't bad really.
On many aspects you are right! But for us it was the first jam, and the time to do everything was not enough, anyway thanks for playing!
Great job then! It's still a finished game and coordinating with a team (especially now) on a game project is really hard. I hope you can keep working on it (if you like it) and if not that you can keep making stuff together!
Hope I didn't sound too harsh too. I try to write my feelings immediately after finishing the game so you get an idea of my experience. Take what's useful to you and discard everything else I said, hahaha
The visuals reminded me of "Night in the Woods" (having that cool autumn feel)
Nice one!
i didn't know this game, i googled it and it looks very cool! thanks :D
Beautiful pixel art! good gameplay and music, really cool concept.
I found that our character’s movement sound has too much weight over other sounds and sometimes is abruptly cut. I would just suggest also to add sound effects while grabbing and dropping the characters.
Good experience! well done!
Thank you!
Really nice job!
Level design was good, music fit really well.
I liked that you had several different music tracks for the options menu etc...
Story telling was done very well, one of the better games I've seen in the jam in that regard.
Didn't run into any bugs while playing, which is a big deal :)
Great job!
We really appreciate your kind words. Thanks for playing!
First of all Nice Environment and Setup. At first i though it was some kind of rain that is falling over and i overlooked it. I realised it was Lava when i died first time. my Bad. Some how i was unable to pick some peoples in the level. Not sue if it was intended. And I also think that character somehow did not match with the platforms design.
But Its a Game Jam , You dont have to be perfect. I loved playing it.
Thanks for taking time to play our game!
Throughout our testing, we haven't come up with any bugs on the picking up of people. Maybe you were already carrying 1 person? Because we didn't allow the player to pick a second one when he was already holding 1 person. If you may, please send me a P.M. and tell me how you encountered that bug so I can look at it.
Fantastic graphics! I thought the gameplay was a bit boring, but the player character was okay to control. I didn't like the lava rain, mostly because it couldn't really be dodged. I also thought the theme interpretation wasn't very creative. A good starting place for a platformer though.
Thanks for playing our game!
There are many aspects to be improved, but overall we tried our best.
Nice game, the graphics are good but the step sounds gets repetitive after a while. Sometimes I can't see what hits me and I managed somehow to throw the poor little girl off screen making the game unwinnable. A good start anyway, good job.
Thank you for playing it, and yes, we know that there are some little bugs, we will fix them! :D
Nice game, I enjoyed playing it - The art was really nice :)
A few quirks that bugged me - The dialog would randomly reappear and the time didn't stop when I was dialogue mode.
I finished the game after my 3rd try, and I was really looking forward for some animation of the spaceship taking off - as a prize for success, but I get it, its a jam game :)
Good job!
Thank you so much for playing! Yes it is true, unfortunately the time was not so much, so we had to leave many details behind!
the artwork really sold the game for me! Love it!
Really! Our Artits did a great job
Amazing artwork! Good game!
Thank you so much
Nice game- I liked all the art and the platforming was pretty solid. Not sure what I fully grasped what the clocks were doing- but I collected everything I could so it all worked out :)
Hey, Thank you so much. If you could see the top right corner, there would be a timer going on, the clocks increase the timer and it helps you to survive for a longer time.
Good game! I love the art a lot, the colours are nice. I didnt understand why my HP was getting lower though
Hi, Thank you so much. The lava which pours out from your sky reduces your HP.
Crashes on start. Running it on Win 10 64 bit from itch.io launcher:
Hmmm, we didn't come up with any problems.
Maybe if you refresh and try to run again?
Art is super nice. Seems to be a fairly standard platformer, but maybe I just gave up to early.
Thank you so much.
Great game!
Thank you for playing it!
Excellent platformer! Amazing visuals and very interesting gameplay.
Great job!
Thank you dude!
I liked the city pixel art and the people you have to rescue. The music really adds to the atmosphere. I found the lava a little frustrating at times, it would be helpful for there to be a clear warning when it was starting/ending so you could time your outside moments effectively. Still, I was able to win after a couple tries. The tight controls on the character were fun to master. Nice game!
We didn't add any kind of warning in order to make the game a little harder to master.
Thanks for playing, we really like you had fun with our game!
Great aesthetics!
True! our artists did a great job!
Good game. Well done. :)
Thanks for playing man!
Thank you so much. GG
sweet game! couldn't find the last person :(
