As someone who really likes card games this was pretty cool. I like the deckbuilding aspect at the beginning of the game. It did take a while for me to figure out when my cards could be used again, so maybe you could find a way to make that easier to recognise. A good entry!
Hallo,
Thank you for sharing your game. I’ve already saved its RATING;
1. verified: GAME due to appeared in SUBMISSIONS List, and has keyphrase: “CARD GAME”
2. observed: in MAIN GAME, using FULL-SCREEN MODE, “How to Play” button is only partly displayed; observed: self to opt to quickly verify GAMEPLAY, instead of use TIME to learn via the “How to Play” guide;
3. observed: no background music and sound effects added
4. verified: GAMEPLAY to be learnable via verifying enemy’s DEFENSE count during team’s ATTACK turn, and enemy’s ATTACK count during team’s DEFENSE turn, where: team’s CARD is chosen so that the ATTACK/DEFENSE value is greater than the enemy’s; observed: when team appeared to be near the WIN state, GAME did NOT anymore accept additional COMMANDS, besides viewing select CARDS;
5. observed: self shall continue IF CAN continue
Thank you. Health!
The cards seem to jump to a point above their spot, before smoothly animating into their spot, which seems a bit jarring.
The rules could be a bit better explained, I was struggling to understand why I had only 2 available cards for use.
Very cool game, but At first, I didn't understand how it all worked. But game is funny)
While I still don't totally understand some of the rules, the game is quite fun to play and adds some new mechanics to the cards game genre!
I do feel like the matches become a little unbalanced on players favour very early on. It feels too easy to play once you catch the basics of the game.
Other than that, extremely solid entry!
Game looks good and plays smooth. Some rules were still unclear, it often showed 3 possible attacks/defenses but I would only have 2 active characters. The game would benefit from some sounds, even if it just was some background music and some clash sounds when fighting.
One of the better games I saw so far this jam !
The very first time I see some MTG-like game at jam! Looks cool, but combats may become infinite because of creature defense is a lot more than attack
