Great atmosphere! The music and voice acting were particular highlights

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll feed that back to the voice actor :)

Good puzzle game, loved the environment, but the movement is a little off for me.

Developer

Appreciate you giving it a try and feeding back. That's something we'll take onboard :)

You've got the creepy theme park atmosphere down here. It reminds me of another game I played when I was younger called "The Secret Isle of Dr. Quandry", which had similar puzzles and also took place when you were placed into a toy body. This has that fantastic feel to it. There is a bit of a tilt on the forward facing. My character always seemed to be drifting to the left. But you know, I think you got a lot of the good basics down and it feels right, camera aside. Thanks for the play!

Thanks for playing our game and thanks for the feedback, that's really valuable :)

Really like the concept behind this, the characters are really unique and they carry the spooky carnival vibe well. The music is captivating and the game does a good job of making me want to find the hidden cards. Unsure if it's just the browser version but movement appeared to walk on a diagonal from the camera, which made it kind of awkward and at times difficult to control. If I'm supposed to be able to jump up the short platforms near the floating cards, it won't let me past the first step no matter what angle I use. Also you can get stuck by running into the trees :') Overall an interesting game, I'd be interested in revisiting with some fixes and seeing it more fleshed out environment-wise!

Hey, thanks for the feedback and for checking the game out! The browser version should be OK, but bear in mind that you can control the camera rotation with the mouse (as well as the zoom level). It's a shame you got stuck on the platform - there's a chunk of game after that. It's definitely possible to get up there, but I suspect the jump height could be made a little higher. I didn't have time to sort out the trees, unfortunately but they were definitely on my radar! It's worth having a scan of the controls on the main Itch page because you can return to the previous checkpoint with K (thus avoiding any loss of progress), and you can sprint (this will come in handy with jumps).

I gave it another go with your control tips, I definitely think increasing the jump height just a smidge would make things more smooth. Got up on the platform with a (carefully timed) sprint jump though! Controlling the camera with the mouse works well, though I do still seem to end up on a slight diagonal after a few movements despite setting it straight initially, so not sure what's up there but potentially something to look into! Just glad I got on the platform XD

Any plans to patch/update after voting? I'd love to share the build with some of my friends if so :) Keep up the great work!

I appreciate you taking the time to give it another go, and for the further feedback. I'll definitely take that on board. As for plans to update it, I might dabble with it a bit (fixes here and there, some polish around the menus and SFX). I'm not sure whether we'd add more features. We did have ambitions for all kinds of things but they became out of scope. Either way, I'm grateful it's something you want to share with some friends!
