Aww this intro and the story was really cute and a cool spin on the word is mightier than the sword!
Some points to consider:
- make it more apparent that the round started (with a count down maybe)
- make it clearer where the word is you need to type. in my first round, I was actually looking for the word and by pure accident saw it (I know it is in the middle of the screen but you are naturally looking at the different elements of the scene especially in the first run)
- the music for the combat. the cute and whimsical music works for the story and the beginning, having something that has a higher intensity and bpm could help with making it more dramatic.
overall, very fun and engaging! I really loved it!
What you expect from the alchemy game. Incorporating the rhythm is a fun idea tho.
For me personally it just took too much time to get the result when hitting "Begin ritual". Also some hints or a tutorial would be great for some of the first transmutations. The AI music is also kinda repetitive, good call to replace that.
overall good job. Some improvement suggestions tho. Maybe you could add the clues to the screen on the left or right corner and maybe put a ring or marker under the currently targeted person. I accidentally marked the wrong one when they were kind of close to overlap. Also a way to reset if you target the wrong one would be good.
