Game description
The game is a puzzle decoding simulator, set under wartime. You will find, decode and send messages in a small bedroom while avoiding getting caught.

Theme interpretation
The theme became the main mechanic of the game as you find secret messages sent from enemies and decode them to find out and send it out to influence the outcome of the war.

A well-rounded little game! I loved the experience! The atmosphere and tension are spot on, and the mechanics are fun. It gets a bit repetitive, but that’s totally understandable given the one-month development timeframe. I hope you continue working on it after the jam, maybe expanding the story with narrative bits between days (though the newspaper idea is brilliant!). Great job, guys!!

Very cool game! I enjoyed the decoding gameplay and thought the atmosphere was solid too. Great work!

Oh my gosh this game is so cool, I really loved the concept of this. I think there could be a slightly better on-boarding process for the player, but once you understand how to play it's relatively smooth outside of sort of weird controls. What impressed me was how tense the game felt. I found myself in a flow state, keeping at least one set of codes in the printer and one on my desk trying to translate as quickly as possible. Loved this game, great job.

I like the concept for this game, and the execution of it was really good. I would have loved for the puzzles to be more challenging to really make the experience great. The controls to look around were also very sensitive, making it difficult to move around.

Nice game! Gameplay was fun, decoding and passing signals over. Learn the hard way how to not get “Game Over”.

And yes, I got scared the first time game over happened. I absolutely like the morse code part, it is impressive that you let the players do the job.

Well done! Try out my game too!

Wow it is so nice! You nail the atmosphere. One suggestion, is it possible to lock the perspective in some degree. Sometimes it a bit hard to control.

What a great game! The atmosphere is very tense and sets the mood for the game very nicely. You guys did a great job with this one!

This was a cool experience, you really achieved your goal of setting a worrisome atmosphere and nailed the theme at the same time. It's so satisfying to solve the morse puzzle but also a bit creepy as all the convos are about bombs, ammos, etc.

Making the fps control scheme a little bit less sensitive would improve the experience a lot, sometimes, that's the only thing I found annoying. Also, I didn't understood you could type in the paper at first, but your help page explained it well. Maybe a suggestion would be to have that instructions handed over on a paper under the door? That would make for an immersive tutorial :)

Oh yeah, and the gameover jump scare hits quite hard the first time!

Thanks for making this game!

Great job incorporating the theme in the mechanics. Uncovering secrets, while having to remain secret yourself... It's like this theme was made for a spy game, and not the other way around.

Nice use of audio cues and ambient sounds, too. The small 3D room was immersive. but I think that resulted in a less than ideal control scheme for the kind of actions required of the player.  An understandable trade-off. All of the models looked good, too.

Great work to the team!

I love the interface and the idea. I was a little lost in the beginning but second attempt was better. When I failed to decode the first message I got a headling: “500 enemies civilians dead in attack”, was it supposed to be inly “civilians”?

You are located in enemy territory, the newspaper that you receive are from your enemy's press, also thanks for playing!

nice game, although i didnt get all the mechanics, esp how to avoid the enemy police. but good atmosphere! It would be nice if you could rate my game too.

Developer(+1)

The "enemy police" may randomly walk outside your door which can be heard by their footsteps. If you make any noise for example like having the Radio, Printer or Fax machine on, he will burst into your room. Thanks for trying out our game!

Loved the atmosphere, it builds good tension and the system for interacting with objects felt polished. Good job.
